Solid performance for the price

I was a little disappointed that the radio came with a worn spot where the mounting bracket was obviously attached before. So, I got a recycled radio and not one straight from the factory. However, the radio was easy to program (I have programmed Yaesu radios for the past 20 years so deciphering the directions for some of these unique radios has become easy for me.) I programmed my local repeaters and then installed it in my truck. It works well. I have not used the max power as the mid level works just fine for all the local repeaters. For me, a quality,well tuned antenna makes a radio preform well. Put a little extra in your antenna and this radio will work just fine. Note, you must have an amateur radio license to transmit on this unit.

Not a bad little radio. Volume control is too sensitive! it is just about on or off with not too much fine adjustment. Other than that this radio preforms as advertised. Hey, and if someone steals it out of your vehicle you lost a 100 bucks not $600. I would buy again, easy to program, but not supported by CHIRP yet.

I bought the BF-9500 July 1 2016, now it is 6 months later and the audio has deteriorated to un-understandable distortion. Unusable junk now and it didn't last very long. It should have lasted years but nooooo. And of course by Amazon's return policy it does not qualify so save your money and buy something else from some place other than here because they won't stand behind the product.

Das BF-9500 ist ein gut verarbeitetes und durchdachtes Gerät, super empfindlicher RX, trotzdem ausreichend großsignalfest und trennscharf.
Einziges Manko ist wie schon vorher beschrieben der untere Lautstärkeregelbereich.
Abhilfe schafft bei Anschluss eines externen Lautsprechers ein Vorwiderstand (bei mir passte 15 Ohm).

Die Bedienung ist, wenn man es erst einmal raus hat, nicht schwer.
Gut finde ich auch, dass man das Display dimmen und 4 Tasten am Mikrofon nach Geschmack über das Menü belegen kann.
Ich habe mir Subaudio- und Ablageneinstellung auf 2 Tasten des Mikrofons gelegt.

Die Modulation ist für meinen Geschmack etwas hell, aber das kann man ja ändern.
Vielleicht probiere ich einmal eine andere Elektretkapsel aus.
