I’m enjoying reading the changes of the tribe as the series continues. This story is sweet as they are finding their love for each other again. Seeing the tribe grow is great and more interesting stuff is happening leaving the reader wondering what else is on this planet or what happened to the civilization there before.

I have lived all the books so far but Stacy was beyond annoying in this book. Who would treat the person they love that way in this situation. She's so selfish and whiney. I've looked all the others because the women were strong and adapted. She literally was the most useless whiney person and the way she treated her mate after what they went through way unrealistic. I love the babies but the number of times soiled diapers were talked about was over the top. I still have it a good reading but only because the background story was important and the ending was decent but please don't make the women whiny anymore it's not fitting and it's annoying to read.

This is not my favorite story but it was Still enjoyable. I love Pachov. He has always been a sweetie and a good person. Stacy is okay but not one of my favorite women. She is a home body and loves to nurture and help. She does that by cooking for everyone. She likes to experiment with food, herbs etc. to come up with new ways to cook things and surprise everyone.
There was quite a catastrophe at the end of the last book. This book primarily dealt with that and how all their lives were changed. Mostly Pachov having lost his memory and almost dying. She was just so freaking winey! That is not a great way to handle the accident. I know what is to experience what it was she went through. Four years ago my husband suffered from a fall off a ladder and cracked his skull etc. Had a brain bleed.. Through a clot and almost died twice. When he was finally awake and tubes etc. were removed so he could talk some. He was very confused and had a lot of memory loss issues. Still has things he doesn't remember and I could care less. She was so winey and poor me poor me. It got old. Just when you think "Hello" she's finally got a clue and has figured things out she would digress and go back to hurt lil old me me me. That was the main thing I didn't like but the rest of the books story line was good. Don't got me wrong, I felt sorry for all involved, I just think she was way to selfish.
Still a huge fan Ruby.

It let's us see how the new village is starting to resettle and add more variety to their diet via 🥚, a new source of fire fuel.

It let's us in on how a relationship can be mended if both parties are open and honest and willing to forgive and start over anew.

It was a delight to read.

These two were so full of self doubt. All they needed was to voice their concerns and insecurities to each other, and they would have come together so much quicker.

Pashov was kind of adorable in his flirting but I just wanted to hug him when he kept thinking he was doing something wrong or wasn’t good enough.

And Stacy was just so insecure. Of her body, of Pashov’s feelings, of almost everything. Even though Pashov was just doing what she asked, she kept thinking he didn’t really want her. That he would’ve ignored her requests and taken charge if he actually wanted her as his mate.

I’m so glad they got their stuff together though because they’re a cute couple and I love their little family unit.

I love the Ice Barbarians series and have been completely addicted since I fist discovered it. This book… gosh I’m in two minds. On the positive, Ruby continues to build the Ice Planet world and the stories and characterizations are superior to many romance series (alien love or not!!). The narrative arc is superb. However…. I could not stand Stacey. All she does is cry, whine, woe is me, she is always exhausted. Every second sentence is a reference to her baby. Stacey is always feeding him, clothing him, making his nappies, playing games, putting him in a backpack… bla bla bla. Honestly, after a while I just didn’t care anymore - just wanted the whole story over with. I sincerely applaud that Ruby took the story in a family direction, it was brave, and I didn’t mind that the baby featured in the story, but for me, after a while it was just too much, that kid got as much airtime in this novel as Pashov!! I don’t need to constantly read about how she is producing milk and leaking all the time. I’m all for nursing mothers and doting fathers, but not in my alien love books thanks. Really hope the series gets back on track with book 11 as I was disappointed with this one.

Stacy and Pashov had such a lovely sounding relationship, and he was up there as one of my fave aliens, so his devestating fall and near death was heartbreaking. Seeing him suffer with amnesia, and the way it was written filled me with so much emotion. Wanting him to remember, feeling both their pain, getting frustrated then excited and everything in between! Loved it.
