Beautiful gift for a little girl
Got this for my 5 years old daughter and she loves it. Am totally satisfied as my little one spends hours playing with it...combing the dolls long long hair, making different hair styles, braids etc. Although I think it's a great product, I am giving only 4 stars as the pack was little damaged when I received it. It wasn't damaged during transit but it was torn/ opened from one corner of the pack and looked like someone tried to open it. Nothing wrong with the doll though.

Barbie's long hair is pretty. My daughter enjoys brushing it. You definitely don't want to lose that brush, though, because, if you use the twirling tool, you are going to need the brush to detangle all that hair...
I've attached pictures to show what the tool looks like and how it works. Basically, each colored braid has a plastic piece at the bottom of it, and you plug those pieces into the hair twirler. When you press the button on the twirler, the braids twirl around each other.
You'd think this would be a fun little extra with this Barbie, and, in concept, it is. In practice, however, it is basically worthless. No, worse than that, it makes the Barbie less fun, since if you twirl too many times, the Barbie's hair gets seriously knotted. (Again, see pictures.) While I am genuinely impressed by how well the brush detangles Barbie's hair, it is SUCH a pain to get all those tangles out. It just isn't fun at all.
In other words, this Barbie is cute. Her long hair is pretty and fun to braid and brush, etc. But the hair twirler is more trouble than it's worth. Mattel should just think about selling the Barbie as is, no extra twirler needed (or wanted).

My four-year old daughter loves Barbies, and I figured she'd like this one, too. The doll by itself is great. Mattel cut a few corners by not giving the Barbie a fabric top (it's plastic and not removable), but the doll still looks really cute. And, of course, her accessories are also nice--though, yes, my daughter lost them all within twenty minutes.Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2016
