Travel the world with Barbie as an expert explorer on a secret mission. This Indiana Jones-style adventure takes you and Barbie to Tibet, Egypt, and the African jungle on a frantic search to find and return four ancient jeweled treasures. Run, swing, jump, and climb with Barbie to avoid dangerous obstacles and deadly pitfalls. Race against a friend to unlock the secrets of the Mystic Mirror. Advance through four levels, collect power ups, and gain special powers for Barbie.
We first reviewed this game on the PlayStation platform last year, and now it's out on Windows. It's still a very good game; Mattel made the transition to PC nicely. Babs is on a mission to find four ancient, jeweled treasures and uncover the secret of the Mystic Mirror. As Barbie, kids have to run, swing, jump, and climb their way through each environment, collecting jewels and solving logic puzzles. Four progressively challenging puzzles are found in each location, and there's a multiplayer option so two children can play at the same time. Power-ups keep Barbie cruising, and extra "Chances" are a handy safety net for gamers in this younger age group. The graphics are great, Barbie' s action is smooth, and there's enough variation to keep the game play interesting. Higher levels can pretty challenging, so kids may need help as they progress. This was a hit with girl (and boy!) testers. -- From Children's Software Revue® -- "Subscribe Now!"
