Ridiculously hard in places

My daughter could NEVER finish this without help. She loved much of it, but even on easy, I can barely get her through the tough spots and I'm a lifelong gamer, who often wins games online. Not too much brain in the puzzles, just timing and jumping. Just about impossible. I'd like to hear from someone who actually finished the whole thing. Further, the software is not written all that well. I tried to pass a couple tough spots by mashing three buttons at the same time, (left-straight and jump, for example to jump diagonally) the game seems to get confused. Also, other times you seem to have made a jump and you fall anyway, and sometimes jump doesn't jump when you really need it to. The best part? When you DO die, which is often, you go all the way back to the insipid start. The annoying part is, this could have been pretty good.

"i hate this game it is a bad. action as never before bad game barbie runs jumps and climbs and dives in this bad game. search exotic lands to find lost treasure like africa and tibet and egypt and more. i relly hate this game."

Parental comment: 'Barbie Explorer' is a pointless game. All of the challenges are the same just the outfit and setting is changed.... That being: Barbie has to maniacally jump, swing, jitter and spin along a mindless trail. Picking up stars and jewels to get through the labrynth to a meaningless conclusion. No logic, No strategy. Terrible.

My daughter is 9 years old and she adores anything in connection to barbie. Unfortunately, this game was not so much fun.
Regarding the shipment, everything was perfect so I would recommend this seller.
The game has 4 or 5 different maps (jungle, desert, ...) but it all comes down to same thing; almost all of the time you see barbie from behind maneuvering through the narrow corridor avoiding obstacles. Few minutes into the game and it gets boring. Graphics is poor, and interaction is not good. Maybe smaller kids would like it, but my daughter was a little disappointed.

We ordered this game and it came without a booklet of any kind.

My daughter is frustrated and I need HELP!

We bought it for the PC, so I need some advice on keyboard/mouse controls. We figured out the basic ones...like jump and forward/backward.

Even though I am 20 years old, I saw this game on Amazon, and just had to write a review for it! I got this game when I was about 10 years old, and it was my favorite computer game ever! I didn't have any other video games like PlayStation or wii, so maybe my expectations were low, but I have so many fun memories with this game. It took me a long time to finish the game, and am still heartbroken that they didn't come out with a second one. If a second one came out, I probably would have to buy it, just for good times sake! Anyway, this game is challenging, but also fun! I'm not sure if it works on newer computers, as I recall trying to install it on my laptop a year or two ago, and it didn't work. Something that I loved about this game was that you could play two player with it. That definitely worked out for my friend and I who used to play it together. So many fun memories! :)
