Girls help Barbie and her friends find the lost horses missing from the local riding school in the first Barbie game for the PlayStation2 and Xbox. Girls join Barbie on an action-packed, 3-D horse riding adventure as they ride through five stunning areas – jumping over fallen trees, crossing rickety bridges and avoiding other potential hazards throughout their quest. Girls can guide Barbie and her horse over thin cliff edges and logs in rivers, leading Barbie to dismount her horse and explore the trails on foot, even assisting Barbie to climb ledges and swing hand over hand along low branches.

This game is wonderful. The graphics are so intricate & beautiful. You can ride through a field while butterflies fly out of the long grass & your shadow follows behind you. And there is so much game play - each new trail is beautiful. The horses are pretty & you can customize them. Make sure to use your camera button because that is the most beautiful thing, you can ride front view or spin around & watch your horse from the side taking jumps & galloping. The sunlight even beams around you if you get the angle right. The riding action is great as well, if you back off on the speed with your controls you move from a fast gallop to a slower comfortable cantor. (One reviewer said the riding was not smooth but that is not true at all - I suspect the viewer did not know how to control the horse.) And the horses themselves react as they would in real life; back up or turn & your horses ears turn back as if he's paying attention. I can not say enough good things about this game. The other riding games pale in comparison. Get it and you will enjoy hours of riding through beautiful trails and feeling relaxed. If I had 1 critisim it is that I wish you could interact with the animals you meet on the trail (turtles, seals, etc) instead of having to avoid them. When you play try not to focus primarily on the tasks but enjoy the ride - when you see a field - run around a while in it instead of just running through, like wise on the beach - & you will love this game!!!

This has been my favorite game since I was child. It's very straight forward, so even for kids now it's not hard. If you have a kid that loves horses, this is a great game. :) Just be warned-This would be the third copy I've had in my life (between the time I got the disk and this review now, my roommate's dog found it as a wonderful chew toy. Learned my lesson now. ;-;) the disks I've owned previously scratched up SO EASILY. I don't know if it's the particular manufacturer, or if I'm terribly unlucky, but it doesn't take long. Took a few months of each, if that. Especially with maybe like 3 playthroughs.

I ordered this game for my niece and before giving it to her, I tested it on my gaming console. The disc would not play in my PlayStation 2 as the back of it was very scratched and looks as if it was used a lot in the past. I give the company 2 stars because they were very quick to respond to my return request for the item and were very helpful during the process. I have ordered games from the site before and never had a problem so I think that this was just a fluke that I received a game that was not working.

I bought this game for my 3 year old daughter, she loves it. Once she figured out how to use some of the controls and actually interact with the game it was hard to get her to stop playing it.

The big problem is that she still can't control the entire game, so she needs you to sit with her. She is about 1 year to young for this game. This forces you to sit through Barbie for long periods of time! The other problem is that when she is playing; I can't play any of my other games. Consider buying a seperate system if you love playing games and are giving this to your daughter.

I'm glad I got the game because she loves it and will play for very long periods of time. What girl doesn't love barbie, horse and new clothes? All three are part of the game. I would never buy this game for a boy.

I imagine she'll be playing this for a few years since she enjoys it so much.

This game is awesome and challenging. The graphics were good and so were the outfits. We're still working on completion....The other horse game for Barbie is awesome and fun too. My daughters favorite was the virtual horse riding in the fields and over the hills through the mountains, the trees, she said it made her feel like she was really on a horse...
