Product Description
In honor of the film trilogy, Mattel presents Collector’s Edition Lord of the Rings Barbie and Ken. These two stunning recreations of Arwen and Aragorn are displayed on stands with a background inspired by Middle Earth. Arwen is dressed in a beautiful green gown of stunning textures, including luxurious brocade trimmed in glistening thread. A beaded, metallic headpiece crowns her long, dark hair. Aragorn carries a sword and has a black cape draped over his broad shoulders. He wears a breastplate and the silvery chain mail uniform of a warrior king. Imported.

Overall these are less true-to-life than the other dolls in Mattel's Iconoclasm Series: The Mother Theresa Barbie and the Mahatma Ghandi Ken come to mind as exceptionally fine examples.
Tolkien did not write the Lord of the Rings to have dolls made out of his characters to be played with by 2 year olds who can not even start to grasp what the Lord of the Rings is about and the fact that Tolkien was a genius!
People should not by this it is just offending! I mean honstly Barbie itself is just lame, but they don't have to bring in a brilliant film and book into their stupid toys made to amuse stupid 2 year olds!!!! Come on now honestly, I just can't believe they did that!!! Grrrrrr...
