"In vibrant color photography, Ciobanu covers the gamut in the city of Barcelona, from major attractions to hidden corners. Additionally, it's a well-detailed travel guide in prose that's both concise and informative. As a memento of the experience, or something to whet your appetite about what the city has to offer, you're not going to going to find a much better coffee table book about the city." - Self-Publishing Review

I read this as a digital copy and this would be useful to put in a smart phone or tablet when you are travelling around the city along with an interactive map you can download from the internet.
The photography is relevant to a travel guide (although a bit heavy on the HDR - but I assume this is the photographer's personal style). I would have liked to have seen a few more restaurants featured in this book but overall there is plenty for a person to discover using this guide. The page layouts were easy to use and the descriptions of the photographs not overly wordy and tagged with numbers for ease of reference.
I'm glad I read Alexandru's book because there is another entry in my "to-visit" list.
