Wow. I know that I am dating myself, but this reminds me of really early John Lennon; raw, spare, and intensely honest. There is real creativity here and especially originality. This really deserves recognition.

I first heard Bahamas on a TV advertisement, where I man falls off a building to the tune of "I have all the time in the world." I have since become a great fan of Bahamas. Beyond that I won great points from my wife when I gave her all of Bahamas CDs for Christmas. I love these albums. As they say, "the man is an island."

I love this album. I hear different influences from Beatles to reggae. Song after song is fun to listen to. The lyrics are sweet, too. "Caught me thinking" makes me get up and dance. Can't wait to hear more from this band.

This album is so complex with layer after layer of mellow, bluesy, sunny tracks. I've been listening to this album for three weeks straight now, still can't get enough. There's a song for every mood from the sleepy sounds of SnowPlow to the upbeat song perfect for struttin' - Caught Me Thinkin'. With heartfelt (but not too mushy) lyrics pieced in with the masterful musicianship, this is a winner on all counts.

For the last several months, this is mostly what I want to listen to. I'm a big fan of M. Ward, and Bahamas shares a lot in common with him. But the sound is distinctly, excellently, its own. Superb songwriting, excellent tasteful guitar playing and production. My highlights include "Lost in the Light," and "Never Again." Layered and rich, this album grows.

My brother recently turned me on to this group and I've got to admit I was skeptical at first. It's slower music than I usually listen to, but you'll enjoy the lyrics and it will help you relax. Try it out!

I don't know if I have ever listened to a album where I thought I was listening to something really special. I think Bahamas has the potential to be a hugely popular band. Afie seems like a genuinely nice guy and he deserves all the credit in the world for making such a beautiful record.

I have bought a lot of stuff on Amazon, never felt compelled to write a review before. This album deserves acknowledgement.

Not sure if it is just the long days, distance from family, or deep uncertainty around some recent decisions, but this has been the perfect soundtrack for this period in my life. But don't get me wrong, the album isn't melancholy, it is just like a stiff drink that rolls from bitterness to optimism and you never feel satisfied with just one listen.

Great album all the way through.
