About the Author
Nakazawa was born in Hiroshima, and was six years old when the city was destroyed by an atomic bomb in 1945. All of his family members who had not been evacuated died in the bombing, except for his mother, and an infant sister who died several weeks after the bombing. Compelled to tell his story in the memory of his family, Keiji Nakazawa is best known for his epic tragic history Barefoot Gen.

Me: "Is the 4 hardcover vol. the complete collection or is there more Volumes that going to be released in hardcover?".
Last Gasp: "The complete series goes through volume 10.
We only have plans to offer 1-4 in hardcover. Doing the 10-volume series as
hardcover would have been too large of a project for this kickstarter.
The other volumes are available in paperback. Some are currently out of
stock but all will be reprinted and available by the fall.
Me: "Thanks for clarifying, I know that you say that there is no plan for printing the others on Hardcover but why no make another Kickstarter campaign. Maybe print 2 more every year I know it would be a success and there are a lot of people like me that are willing to support this series. You guys already have all the series translated and that is the hard part, also have the design for the covers (unless don't use the same) so why not another campaign".
Last Gasp: "Thanks for the encouragement. We are almost done mailing out the 1000
copies of each volume to schools and libraries. We have a few more projects
we are focusing on right now, but I will look at the numbers for doing the
remaining volumes, even in a small print run. Every Kickstarter takes a
huge amount of work, so I can't promise, but I would also like to see all
10 in hardcover and I'm sure we are not alone.
