This one, "the Barely There Women's Customflex Fit Lighly Lined Wirefree" is really comfortable yet provides more support than I had expected. I'm normally a 38-40 C/D in a normal wired bra, depending on the brand, and I went with a large in black. Now, this does hook in the back (unlike the other two I tried which are pull-over your head type) and it also has adjustable straps. Typically on my day off or when traveling in the tropics I wear the tanks with a shelf bra under a shirt, because normal bras with underwires aren't always that comfortable, and they don't always agree with hot, sweaty weather (for me at least...). This bra surprisingly provides more support than the shelf tanks. It also provides some lift and separate, so there is absolutely no uni-boob going on. Honestly, I'd actually wear this one out in public w/o hesitancy. The only downside is that I wish it had a bit more support on the sides, as I can see the girls pushing out to the sides more than I would with my underwire bras.
The next one I tried was the Barely There Microfiber Crop Top Bra in skin tone, size large. In this I was swimming. I had read to go down a size, but historically whenever I do that with shoes, clothes, etc. I regret it and want the larger (I don't like things tight) Anyhow, this was super loose - it felt like wearing a loose t-shirt almost, there was no support at all. Also, in the mirror it looked very much like "grandma's underwear".Read more ›
As for the bra itself, I love it! It is so incredibly comfortable! After having reconstructive surgery 2 months ago (lost both the girls to cancer) I have been struggling to find a wireless bra that didn't hurt (my sides are still sensitive due to nerve damage), that actually fit my new shape (implants tend to be flatter and wider than natural breasts), and looked nice while giving some support (no more sports bra uniboob!)- this one does it all! I apologize if that's TMI, I just want people to know that I'm asking a lot of a bra, and if it can do all of that for me, just think of how much it'll do for you!! I highly recommend it!
For me (34A), it's all the support I need (I don't need much). There is a bit of nipple show through--the fabric's sort of thick or double layered and stretchy, so it's not as much as you might think, but there are definitely certain tops I wouldn't wear it with (the clingy, light/solid-colored variety). It seems to work fine with thicker fabrics, floatier shapes, and prints without noticeable show-through.
The only other problem I have with it is that I don't really think "smart sizing" is very smart--for anyone but the company, who doesn't have to make as many sizes. It's less individually customized (fewer sizes) and harder to figure out (relative terms like small, medium, large vs. concrete measurements). The small fits me well, now, but I suspect with time the stretchy fabric will stretch out and it'll get a bit baggy, which won't be a good look. I could counteract this by going down to the xs, but then the band would be too tight. There's a reason bra sizes consist of two different measurements.
In general, though, I really love it. I used to avoid wearing my bra any day I was just going to be sitting around the house and take it off immediately after work, and this is one I really don't mind leaving on at home.

The bra fit as expected and it is a pretty color, but there is absolutely no support in this bra. The fabric is very thin. Read morePublished 3 months ago by LadyWup
I've used this brand of bras for years. They added plastic clips to the bra strap, however, and I find it a bit uncomfortable.Published 4 months ago by redondo_mom
