Lady Brennan is falling for Pryor and and comes to care for him. He gets hurt and she helps take care of him.
Will he take care of them?
The author did a great job with this series. I will be looking for book number two.
Lady Moira Brennan is not the damsel in distress in need of rescue. (•''•')' '' She's not this strong, guns blazing super woman some books make strong female characters to be. She's proper, intelligent and her mind is her own. Lady Moira is a noble from Ireland. She runs away to America with her maid Gretchen in order to avoid a marriage a horrible man set up by her uncle.
Lady Moira was expecting her own homestead claim in the new Montana territory. She then finds herself being deceived. A man called Pryor MacAteer was expecting a contract wife, had paid her her ticket there; and had a contract with her name on it. Coming to an agreement, she tries to make things right.
Narration by Charles D. Baker was amazing. I enjoyed the clean voice, the tones, the emotions in the characters. Made the story come alive. Incredible '
This is a clean, ('’'’')' short story in which the characters are well developed. It didn't feel rushed; and enjoyed how the romance between Lady Moira and Pryor grew. ' The descriptions were simple; and placed you in this beautiful landscape. Loved her writing. ' And yes, before moving to the next audibles, I had purchased the kindle books in series and others as well. Really enjoy the clean, beautiful romance in "Bargain for a Bride". '

This book was just ok. The premise was a little ridiculous. The con man at the beginning clearly got Moira to sign papers agreeing to be a mail order bride. But he still gave her a legitimate land contract, which she was able to claim. A real con man would have given her a fake land contract.
I also didn't like how the author developed Pryors character. The way the author described him in certain scenes, he came across as a bit dopey or slow. I didn't like that.
And overall the book was a bit lack luster and boring. Just an ok book.
When she arrives in Montana she is met at the train station by Pryor. He is there to welcome his mail order bride.
She is not willing to fall into a marriage after barely escaping one back home. But she is not sure what she and Gretchen see going to do in this barren land called Montana.
I liked all the characters and I really enjoyed seeing the west with new eyes. A good and enjoyable read.
