Usage Perfect pair to all types of sauces, particularly those with fresh, full-bodied ingredients.	Shape Thick Spaghetti, also known as Spaghettoni, is a wider version of the classic Spaghetti pasta. All spaghetti cuts are long and round, the word comes from the Italian word 'spaghi', which means 'lengths of cord.'	Texture Barilla Thick Spaghetti shares the same classic shape and full-bodied flavor of spaghetti, but is thicker, with a more substantial mouth-feel and deliciously nutty flavor.	Cooking Tips 1. Bring 4 - 6 quarts of water to a rolling boil, add salt to taste. 2. Add contents of package to boiling water. Stir gently. 3. Return to a boil. For authentic "al dente" pasta, boil uncovered, stirring occasionally for 11 minutes. For more tender pasta, boil an additional 1 minute. 4. Remove from heat. Drain well. 5. Serve immediately with your favorite Barilla sauce.

Barilla Thick Spaghetti

with Lobster, Cherry Tomatoes & White Wine

1. Bring a large pot of water to boil.

2. Sauté until garlic is golden.

3. Add flour and cook for one minute.

4. Add wine to skillet and cook until reduced by half.

5. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Add enough cooking water to cover shells.

7. Simmer until reduced by half.

8. Heat remaining olive oil in another skillet.

9. Add onions and sauté over medium heat until soft.

10. Add cherry tomatoes and the wine sauce.

11. Cook Thick Spaghetti half of the recommended package cooking time.

12. Season with salt, pepper and bay leaf.

13. Drain and add pasta and lobster meat to sauce.

14. Simmer 6 more minutes until pasta is al dente.

15. If needed add more lobster cooking water.

16. Season with parsley and butter and serve.

17. Add lobsters to pot and cook 5 minutes.

18. Remove from pot and allow lobsters to cool.

19. Reserve cooking water for sauce.

20. Remove meat from tail and claws.

21. Chop in 2-inch pieces and set aside.

22. Heat half of the olive oil in a skillet.

23. Add garlic clove and lobster shells.

Ingredients (Serves 8):

16 oz. Barilla Thick Spaghetti
1 bay leaf
2 lobsters
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic, chopped
1 medium white onion, sliced thin
1 tbsp. flour
1 cup white wine
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
1 tbsp. butter

Barilla Thick Spaghetti

with Sausage & Leeks

1. Skin and crumble the sausage, and cook with olive oil over high heat until brown.

2. Deglaze with wine and reduce well.

3. Add leeks, lower the heat and cook for five minutes.

4. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package directions, but drain three minutes prior to the end time.

5. Reserve some cooking liquid.

6. Add pasta to the sauce, add cooking water and toss over high heat until pasta is cooked and sauce thickens.

7. Remove from fire and stir in butter, cheese and parsley before serving.

Ingredients (Serves 8):

16 oz. Barilla Thick Spaghetti
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 lb. mild Italian sausage with no fennel
1/3 cup white wine
4 medium leeks, diced
Sea salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
1 tbsp. parsley, packed

I am from Italy and know about pasta shapes and the weird names we give them from the animal kingdom. But little black insects crawling inside the boxes are not, as a rule, part of our recipes. This was disgusting beyond description: several boxes we hosting tiny, six-legged creepy-crawlies alive and well, and decidedly well-fed. Given how most people cook pasta, I'd say many would not even notice the animalculi and toss them to an untimely, horrible death into the boiling water. Then, depending on the sauce, perhaps they would notice the crunchy dead arthropods and wonder -- "hmmm, I didn't add black pepper. Odd." Or -- "Hey, look; basil. Yum!"
My advice to all: buy pasta that is packaged in plastic. And ALWAYS LOOK INSIDE!
A telltale sign of inhabited noodles: the pasta is discolored and cracked. Because the bugs are chewing it.

This is my "go to" brand for pasta. I find it cooks up with less starchy (even when el dente), stick together than some other brands. For whatever reason, the Angel Hair pasta is sometimes very hard to find in the local big box stores. They have tons of thin pasta but for spaghetti, my family prefers the Angel Hair. Hope amazon continues to carry it in their Prime Pantry offerings.

Barilla makes very good GF pasta. They were one of the first to get it right. This angel hair is no exception and I'm very pleased with both taste and texture..

I live alone and for me a Fasta Pasta Microwave pasta cooker works great with my small batches.I usually take about 1 minute off the recommended time on the Fasta Pasta instructions. It seems to continue to cook a little even after drained. Microwaves can vary a lot so if you go that way be prepared for a couple of tries to get the timing right.

As I'm already a GF Barilla fan and this lives up to my expectations and I think it deserves 5 stars for being a great GF product.

If you are a pasta-holic like I am, you will try any and all pasta with a variety of sauces and/or "gravies". This one is, in a word, magnifico!. My other half likes Angel Hair pasta specifically for the thinness and is not overly fond of linguine because it is thicker. This "Fini" pasta fit perfect into her
taste as well as mine. We have made this pasta al dente as well as softer. With either you still get the texture of a linguine plus almost any variety of sacue/gravy will adhere very well. If you love pasta you will not be disappointed in either the flavor or the value. Yes, I highly recommend.

This was about a buck a box at the food store (40-miles away) for years and then it suddenly went to about a buck forty and never came back down. Monday is pasta night and we have a lot of salads during the summer and have been a Barilla fan for over 20-years and it’s either this or the store brands so finding it here with free shipping is a real plus. This purchase came out to about 90-cents per box so that’s why we bought it here. I think Barilla is one of the best pastas out there, after about 60-years of eating pasta, and with a little oil in the water it comes out nicely and doesn’t have to be rinsed. You love it or you don’t so whatever I say likely won’t sway you but if you already use it the price here was pretty good and the lowest I’ve seen anywhere for over 10-years.

I bought one of these boxes (pack of twenty) about half a year ago - boy was this a good purchase. I kept the pasta boxes out in room temperature but they're still good when cooked. Even with pretty judicious pasta eating every other day or so the box just lasts and lasts without spoiling.

Just occasionally get some fresh veggies and seafood/meat and you end up with a healthy and tasty meal at around the same price as if you were living on instant noodles. Your complexion and kidneys will thank you later. Another extra benefit of going for angel hair pasta is that it cooks really fast!

This was easy to make and it turned out great. My family really enjoyed this product and we will be using it again in the future.

This was the first time I had ever considered using online shopping for any of my food. Amazon Grocery had a pretty good selection of dry supply items. Everything that I ordered came nicely packed and wasn't damaged at all. These items where very easy to make and they all tasted great. When I made this purchase I had a coupon for $25 of on an order of $75 or more. It was really nice that Amazon kept track of how many items you had in your box and how much space was left. Each item also showed how much space it would take up in the box, so you had an idea of what else might fit in the box. After I had the box completely filled I simply checked out as usual and a few days later it showed up at my house

Overall these items where great and I will be ordering again in the future. What a great way to get your shopping done with out leaving the comfort of your own home.

Good Pasta, but the CEO put me off buying it ever again

It was good pasta, but I stopped buying Barilla because of their CEO's homophobia. Don't get me wrong, he has every right to his opinion, but he won't be getting my money when there are plenty of other pastas out there that are just as good if not better. I'll pay the extra fifty cents to get a brand that doesn't feel the need to bash an entire demographic as unworthy of consuming their products.
