From the Author
I am thrilled that you are interested in this book. There are so many differing viewpoints on how to solve barking and separation anxiety issues with dogs. I did my best to synthesize all of my successful techniques to humane, easy step-by-step strategies. If you follow the steps, you will have success. It is important to understand that dogs do not have an ulterior motive; they bark out of fear, excitement, or to alert you. They have separation anxiety because they were never taught how to be alone, have a genetic predisposition to anxiety, or had a trauma when alone. Work slowly and with purpose following this guide and you will do great. I have been honing my craft with thousands of dogs since 2002. You know what? These suggestions work!
