My teenager bought this since it was strongly recommended by his English teacher- what’s the saying about leading a horse to water??? Needless to say the only school my son is getting into is CC Clown College or SHK the School of Hard Knocks. He will live with us forever, I will never be able to retire.

Not bad as as far as a test prep book, but for the Reading section they forgot to include line numbers as well as page numbers from the print edition on the kindle edition. This means that when the question asks to refer to a specific line you won't be able to easily find it! And you won't be able to access online content because the security question points to a specific page number in the print edition, but the kindle version doesn't come with the pagination from the print version so no access to the 3 extra online tests!

so far I've used this book for the practice tests. the strategies/content review is great, but the practice tests are HARD. They're definitely more difficult than normal SAT practice tests. I understand that many test prep companies intentionally make their practice tests harder so that the actual SAT seems easier. But, in this book, the answer explanations are often very vague (for reading), to the point that I doubt if their answers are even correct. what's the point of having harder questions if you don't understand the answer?
I'd recommend doing the official SAT practice tests from the collegeboard website first (currently there's 8 of them). if you're looking for a good sat content review, go for this book. if you're looking for practice tests, use this as a last resort.

The math section is way too hard on this exam. Given the amount of time you're allotted, they ask you wordy and difficult to understand questions for math that don't reflect the level of the actual exam. They often provide more step and reading comprehension than the actual test. The Reading and Writing portion is good and portrays an accurate level of what is asked on the actual exam. But i feel the overly difficult math portion undermines the accurate reading section.

Kindle edition useless for Maths sections

E-books often garble or fail to display mathematical notation, but I did not expect this to happen in an official Kindle edition. There are all sorts of problems with the way fractions and exponents are displayed, among other things. This renders the book more or less unusable.
