Good quality & fast shipping. I need this both for baking as I won't use corn syrup & use glucose. I also have hypoglycemia, not the oh I have a headache I need to eat type but the I go into a seizure if my blood sugar drops. This is the best thing for that problem. This fills the bill for both needs & I will reorder.
I had never tried Dextrose before so this was an experiment. It arrived on time and in good shape, and I'm using it in coffee. You have to use more of it than sugar because it is less sweet, but it has no fructose, which is why I bought it. I like the quality of the sweetening it provides...it's not cloying or overly sweet. In the end, though, I prefer Erythritol, a naturally occurring sugar that is found in our bodies as well as in fruits and fermented foods like soy sauce. It has no calories and is a bit sweeter than dextrose. I found the Erythritol at my supermarket labeled Zero. It has no artificial ingredients or calories and is GMO free. But the Barry Farm dextrose is good and I'd recommend it too.
I purchased this Dextrose for my Charcuterie project at home. I have cured various style dry sausages using this dextrose to feed the live culture I introduce into my sausages. It seems to be doing its job! –and that is what I needed it for. Definitely recommend it if this is what you are looking to use it for. Please note: it comes in a simple bag with not labels! --Just have a sharpie on hand, and mark it, so it is not confused with other kitchen ingredients!

To start with, when I opened the package and saw that I had gotten a bag of Corn Sugar, I was very upset. Dextrose is a product processed from corn sugar, it is not used the same for cooking applications. FALSE ADVERTISING! I had to purchase Dextrose from another source, and will not buy from seller again.
Great Dextrose for home brewing or mycology applications such as agar culturing and liquid culture or mycelium solution. Use with Light Malt Extract for a killer LC.
Works well ... a touch of bitterness seems to seep through. Kids don't seem to taste that which I (and a couple other adults) can discern so I'll keep using it in candy when I can.
