I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this product.

My head gasket started to fail the week before Thanksgiving, and this stuff kept me mobile through the holidays and long enough to get my tax return.

In fact, it probably would have lasted even longer, but i just flushed the cooling system and now the leak is back.

This product doesn't transfer heat nearly as well as antifreeze. Your heater will produce less heat, and your engine will run warmer than usual. I don't know if this is because it clogs stuff up, or just the nature of the formulation. Having said that, i wouldn't recommend this product for the summer months. It should also be said that while it hasn't done any permanent damage (heater core and engine temps are now back to normal,) it also hasn't permanently fixed anything either.

One star off for false claims of 'permanent repair,' but it certainly does work. If you're far from home or in a tight financial spot when your gasket starts to fail, this will get you where you need to go. Just make sure you start tucking some money aside for a permanent fix as well.

My 1992 Seville with 160,000 miles on it was always loosing anti-freeze, the over flow tank was always dry. I put this stuff in the radiator and now the over flow tank is never dry. I still have to add coolant periodically, but nothing like before. It worked until I traded the car in, I've no way to know about after. It was good for 18 months.

The correct way to repair a coolant leak is to replace the parts that are leaking (cylinder head, head gasket, radiator, etc.), but if you can't do that for some reason, this is your best bet. It'll permanently seal up leaks that all those cheap stop-leaks just can't. It won't clog anything up either (provided nothing is nearly clogged already). Probably won't work on a leaking water-pump seal though, just gotta replace that if it's leaking.

Two different mechanics told me that my manifold leak would most likely require a replacement of the manifold and gasket, not just the gasket. The repair estimate topped $850, and could have reached over $1000. The leak I had was equivalent to one quart of antifreeze for every 500 miles of driving. I did my research and found Bars' product.

I flushed my cooling system prior to using Bars. I flushed it until the water was pure, which took hours, but it's worth the time to cleanse out rust and deposits. Make sure you follow EPA guidelines for disposal of used antifreeze.

Follow the directions on the bottle EXACTLY as specified. Otherwise, the product will not work. It's been documented the directions must be strictly adhered to.

It's been three weeks now, and the leak is non existent. I have not lost any antifreeze in over 3000 miles and counting.

Thank you Bars for this excellent product. I highly recommend it.

My 2006 Chevy Trailblazer LS was suffering from a misfire and my mechanic diagnosed it as a blown head gasket and put the estimate around $1200-$1400 to fix it. Not having the money at this moment, he mentioned using Bar's leak until I had the opportunity to take it in and get it done right.

$30 and 2 hours later, pretty much all the symptoms have disappeared. Engine light is off, no rough/low idle, and no more hesitation when accelerating. Just follow the directions to a T, take the time necessary (approx 2 hours), and drive it gently for a while and it'll definitely get you from point A to B until it can be fixed properly.

*Quick 3-month Update*: After 3 months and quite a few miles (my daily commute went from <5 miles a day to ~42 miles a day), this is still working well. Haven't flushed the coolant with the Bars in it yet.

This is the best product on the market it has fixed a 1998 Northstar head gasket leak, it has fixed a 2001 Grand am 3400 head gasket leak. Both leaks where leacking out the sides of the heads themselfs. The best out thier 5 stars. This is the Best product if your car can run in park for 15 plus minutes without overheating. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a head gasket on thier car and cant pay to get it fixed.

I have an old toyota with a head gasket that is going. I am told my leak is not as bad as most, basically is is going through my exhaust so nothing in my oil or anything like this. I bought this stuff from Amazon as it was $60 in the store but much cheaper here and followed the instructions to the T. I took an entire day to cycle it through and that was a year ago. It just recently all came out finally but I still have half a bottle of this and plan on running it through tomorrow to see if I can do the same thing. If it does not work its still awesome, it kept my car at bay for a whole year and I put allot of miles on this car. It might not work for everyone but it worked killer for me. I will update my review after I try it a second time. Worth buying if you have a leak like mine where it is blowing antifreeze out the exhaust. With all the antifreeze I was using this was much cheaper, if I can get my car to go another year I would be blown away. I have tried other solutions and this is the only thing that worked.
