Bart's Escape Out the Gate Paperback – November 15, 2017

The story is delightful and has an excellent message for young readers, that of being responsible and fixing things which have been broken. The illustrations are vivid and lively and they make the characters and story come alive. The story also shows how a small mistake by the child causes so much chaos and the cleanup after that without passing the buck. It is also good to see how the little boy gets things back in order so that the neighbors are happy. This story is excellent for children as the message conveyed and the concept are good and it helps them understand clearly when conveyed through the story of Bart and the little boy. Parents should read books like this to their children, and tutors and educators can use this story for read aloud sessions in classrooms because of its lovely message.

Such a fun read for children as they hear all the chaos the dinosaur is causing. They shout ideas on how to capture Bart. This is a very well written book and the characters couldn't be more love-able. It teaches a lesson of responsibility to the children. I love a book with a lesson. Children will listen if it involves another child. Hurry and get your copy of this book. Your little is just going to love it!
I found no issues in this one.
I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because Bart stole my heart with all his shenanigan's. The author provided a copy of the book but I chose to review it.
What would you do if your pet dinosaur got out of his pen because you forgot to lock the gate? You can’t imagine the havoc that this dinosaur will wreak. He escaped and went out full blast running over the entire landscape causing trouble for his neighbors. Screaming did not stop him. Yelling did nothing he ignored him and his quest to catch him well join me as we learn the final outcome of what happens when Bart Escapes Out the Gate!
First he scared the animals that did not realize he just wanted to have some fun. Next, chasing him did no good and seeing him run loose you won’t believe what he did! The pictures along tell the story and next he knocked over things and this poor boy was more than stressed out.
How will he stop him and get him back in his pen? He had to figure out a way to outsmart him but could he? Playing hide and seek? Would he find him if the dino hid first? Well, Bart was hiding in plain sight eating the neighbor’s grass. I guess he was hungry from running around so much and could not resist the taste of delicious fresh grass. But, the inevitable happens and he just plops down and crushes all the flowers beneath him. Trying to push and shove him did not work. Would getting wagon help? Filling it with all of his favorite treats would that lure him to follow him and return to his pen?
The outcome was interesting as the young boy did something very grownup. He owned up for what the Dinosaur did and apologized for what he ruined. A lesson in responsibility and honesty is at the root of this book. How did he help with the grass, flowers, the clean up and more? Did you try to pass the buck or did he help fix what Bart did? Do you think he will forget to keep the pen locked again? What do you think the neighbors said when he owned up to his responsibilities?
The book is a must read for young readers to learn that mistakes happen and you have to own up to them hoping that you can repair what you did and that others will forgive you. The colorful illustrations brings the story and Bart to life and the end result of what happens when he tells the neighbors why things turned topsy turvy you will have to read for yourself. A great book for young readers and non-readers to learn the lessons of responsibility and honesty and owning up to your mistakes that can be read by teachers, parents and discussion groups even children that are in middle grades can learn these lessons too. Teachers can even ask students to write stories about what would happen if their pets got out what would they do and how would they handle it. Let's hope Bart stays in his pen but if he gets out I can’t wait to see what he might do next!
kid things in their way-- and pets have a mind of their own … Bart wiggles out of the gate, gets into a bit of mischief and has to get roped in. Who hasn't had a pooch that gets loose? Bart just does it in a "big" way. The illustrations are delightful. A very fun books for kids and adults alike. It will be read over and over again.
