Filling up the bin is a bit awkward, especially if you'd like to use warm or hotter water to wash with. Only a bucket will do the trick, which needs to be filled in the kitchen sink. I'm using my washer outside (when the weather allows) since I can't find a good spot that will accomodate the short length of cord on the machine. It also isn't convenient to use indoors when the spin cycle happens since I must hold the machine down for the entire time. The spin cycle bucket also doesn't accomodate heavier clothes (like jeans) well at all, it tends to make the machine run off balance. For lighter types of clothing it does work well. Yoga pants are about as crazy as I can get, but forget about doing anything that gets heavy when wet (jeans, towels, etc.). For lightweight washing, I think it works well. And, as I mentioned before, if the clothes aren't super dirty it works fine. This machine does leave my clothes much more damp than a standard machine (it only spins lightly for 3 minutes) so drying time is about the same as handwashing.
The machine itself is constructed well, it seems to be of good quality. The instructions are easy to understand, and the machine is not difficult to use. I felt a bit clumsy the first few times I used it, mainly because it's very different from a regular washer. Care must be taken not to add too much water, etc. I'm a bit disappointed I can't hook it up to a faucet instead of using a bucket, it feels a bit 'rustic' this way. I feel this machine will work well with our RV business and traveling adventures, I do look forward to using it for this purpose mainly rather than everyday usage.
