The challenges are divided into three levels, so you'll be able to jump straight to the challenges that will match the best with your background and capabilities. But it is not a quiz book: while taking the challenges, you should refer to the man page of the commands or Google for their usage. There is no restriction on that. On the contrary. And if we provide a solution to each Bash exercise here, there can be in fact more than one ways to solve the same problem. So you are encouraged to show your creativity by finding your own solution to the challenges!

While the book is just what I was looking for the fact that I am on a Linux computer or an Android phone makes reading it very difficult.
For some reason this particular book can't be read using Kindle Cloud Reader which is where I do most of my technical reading.
Reading on my phone works but is also a pain.

If you have a Kindle go for it.

This is a good learning tool.

Short and sweet, more doing than reading, ie, the ideal way to learn bash
Sylain Leroux takes an excellent approach to teaching bash. And it is fun to work through the challenges. I think everyone working through this book will learn something, even experienced bashers.

I'm hoping the author bashes out another book.
