As an enrichment teacher I got this book, hoping it would help me explain Physics to a class of elementary students. I was blown away... I feel I can now explain Quantum physics to anyone. I sent out an e-mail blast to all my grandmother friends to let them know about this series. I loved the presentation, I loved the vocabulary, the illustrations are priceless. I will pass this name on to anyone who will listen. I am THAT impressed. It is simple, imformative and easy to understand without getting bogged down. Just the right splash of info to spark the mind and get the kids (and adults) rolling- and asking more questions. Can't wait to read the rest of the series. A must for every science program....

Thank you for writing and putting it together. I can't wait to tell my students and parents about this series.

From my young scientist "I liked this book because it gave a lot of information in a short book. This is my 7th basher book". All I know is that he has been dropping quite a bit of physics knowledge on me, and he wants more of these books.

This is one great little book. Wait--is this supposed to be just for kids?

Really fun introduction to some very tough subjects. I was surprised to see Mr Graviton in the book. That is really getting state of the art, or as the author explains, "Hey, I might not even exist!" But if it does, it may be an "As-yet undiscovered exchange particular for gravity," and "Expected to travel at the speed of light."

This book reads like a kid's version of the Richard Feynman books--lots of funny stories and insights. I see that the author really sticks his neck out by mentioning the famous, "Double slit" experiment that is such a bizarre paradox. But telling the kids about that one would be too much I think ...

√ Delightful story and illustrations. Recommend!

Here's another book in the same series to enjoy:

I was a little dismayed at how much this book tried to cover for younger readers - including abstract topics like Quantum Physics and Schroedinger's Cat - ! It's not the best-written book, but my 7-year-old really loves it and has re-read it several times. Will try the others in the series too.

My 8 year old son loves this series. He has Chemistry and Physics and rereads chapters all the time. This book explains science in terms that most 3rd and 4th graders can understand and in a way that keeps their interest. I have also learned a fact or two. They are very good converstation starters. Who would have thought that I would be discussing Brownian Motion with my 3rd grader while I was making coffee one morning! Definitely High-Interest books.

My daughter has almost all of the Basher books, and they are all wonderful. This is the newest acquisition and she loves it just as much. This series makes understanding complex maths and science concepts achievable for quite young kids, and I can credit Basher for the lively discussion of vector dynamics with my 9-yo while watching Mythbusters recently. Highly recommended for anyone who would like to nurture the super-cool nerd in their kids.

All I can say is I purchased about 8 of these kind of books for my grand son who is 10 years old. This is one of the books that he told me he wanted so of course Gramma was eager to please especially when everyone knows books and reading is awesome for kids to want to be part of.

I love the basher science books for teaching my daughter. She is 4.5 and just able to get into them some. THIS one however would not be good for a younger child and may be beyond a preteen. I actually bought it for myself to better my understanding of quantum physics as a person untrained in non-mechanical sciences.
