A supplement to the Basic Fantasy role-playing game (BFRPG), the Basic Fantasy Field Guide has lots of new monsters. It's not a necessary addition to what is already in the main rule book, but there's no such thing as too many options when you're a GM. Considering the fantastically inexpensive price, there is an incredible value for the dollar here. A brand new book, with almost 200 monsters, would probably cost almost 10 times this amount from most companies.
I suppose it could be argued that this is really just a re-hash of D&D. That's a lazy argument. This book adds to any fantasy RPG and is easy to adapt. It is well organized and looks professional. The paper quality is very good and the binding is solid. Like all of the BFRPG books, this is a great addition to any gaming collection. Add new monsters and more fun to your games by ordering this book. It won't cost much and you just might find something new and exciting inside.
