upon first inspection, it looks similiar to the apple cord, but thats where the similarities end. It fits a little tighter into the charging port, does not click. The plastic sheath around the lightning end is loose, not as firm or strong as the oem cord.

I have 2 of these lightning adapters by URGE basics, and both of them have seperation of that sheath, 1 of them from the wire, leaving the charging wires exposed, and the other from the hard plastic lightning adapter.

If you could find these for $5, id recommend it, definately better to have an adapter vs no adapter. Especially in the car.
