I find that the designs themselves are fine, and presented in such a way that they can be added to or adjusted/changed. What I think is impressive about this book are the instructions. The instructions on how to use the Clover bias strip maker (for stems, etc) made me proficient, something the instructions on the product itself did not do. They present options for applique methods and the how-tos for each method. I was impressed with the clarity and usability of this book.
