Batgirl and the Birds of Prey (2016-2018) Vol. 3: Full Circle Kindle & comiXology

4.5 out of 5 stars 99 ratings

The Birds of Prey are more than a team: Batgirl, Black Canary and Huntress are friends, allies and sisters. Even when the Birds’ membership swells to include partners like Catwoman, Poison Ivy and even Harley Quinn, those three heroes—Barbara, Dinah and Helena—are the beating heart of the team.

So what happens when the trust that unites them is betrayed?

Barbara Gordon isn’t just Batgirl—she’s also the elite hacker known as Oracle, and she’s been using a backdoor into the computer system of the dangerous information broker known as the Calculator to take down his criminal enterprise, bit by bit. But when the Calculator decides to make it his mission to find and destroy Oracle, Dinah and Helena discover that Barbara hasn’t been open with them about where her intel is coming from … and innocent lives are lost in the cross-fire.

Now, their most dangerous and personal enemies are united against them, and the Birds are barely on speaking terms. Can the Birds of Prey learn to stand united … or will they fall once and for all?

Everything in the first teo volumes of the rebirth of The Birds of Prey comes to a high excitment climax. As Batgirl, Black Canary and The Huntress face their self doubts .

so on the one hand this run has produced some all time favorite moments. In the other hand there were so many elements that I personally can't get in board with until I re-read Gail Simone's run again. Is it a well written execution of what it set out to do? And is the art amazing? You bet. So at the risk of being the kind of fanboy(girl?) the run "calls out" in a really meta way... I am on the fence on this one. But at least the ladies are back in a new universe that has also given me back my titans. And some closure on the Oracle issues i have. Maybe I am still just feeling from the ending... Perhaps a re-read is in order........

More great writing and story for the Rebirth generation of the Birds Of Prey. This may be their most epic expanded DC universe tale. Lots of special guests dip in to help save the day, but Batgirl, Huntress, and Black Canary remains the heart of adventure. This seems to be the last from this writing team on BatBoP for awhile. Looking forward to their return (if/when)

This was the first DC Rebirth book I added to my pull list and I was so sad to hear it was ending. However, the third volume leaves the story in a great place. Highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Super Geschichten - etwas fragwürdige Cover-Collection am Ende
Reviewed in Germany on July 27, 2018
Seit einiger Zeit nutzt Barbara Gordan a.k.a. Batgirl a.k.a.

5.0 out of 5 stars Let's kill men.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on October 13, 2023
The villains want to kill men because men are evil. I am a man and I agree with them. Most of the world's problems are caused by men. I don't see why the Birds Of Prey had to interfere.
I wish Julie and Shawna Benson had not included Green Arrow but I have heard that there are women who like men.
