If you don't know what those are, here's a link.
Several different companies make them, and they work perfectly to secure the clock to the towel rack. Anyway, the clock is great. I like keeping track of the time while I'm in the shower and it's nice to have the date and temperature too. And if I put some product in my hair where you need to wait a number of minutes before rinsing it out, I use the timer for that. So far, I have no complaint about this clock and really like it. If something changes about that, I will post an update later.
The only thing I don't like is that on the date field it shows the day and then the month which is odd (so in the US February 20 would read 2/20 but on this it would read 20/2). Maybe a European display. It allows multiple languages for the day of week abbreviation and you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit, but you can't adjust the date display format.
Overall it looks nice and has a lot of features for the prices, I like it.
I use it in the shower everyday. I mainly use it for the timer feature. It has four buttons for setting the timer. 1 Minute, 3,min, 5min, and 10 min. Although, you are not limited to only those duration's. For example, you can press the 1 minute button twice to get 2 minutes or the 5min and 3min to get 8 minutes, etc... It also tells you the time, date, and temperature but you can't see the time and the timer at the same time, which is not a problem whatsoever.
I could go on and on but I'll just say this, if you're looking for a shower clock or timer, this is easily the best I could find and believe me, I looked!
The display is easy to see. Setting up the clock was easy. The instructions that came with the product were very clear. The clock has two modes. Both modes show the date and the temperature at the bottom. (The temperature is just the temperature in the shower.) In the first mode, it tells the time. In the second mode, it is a timer. It is easy to set the timer. It has preset buttons for 10, 5, 3, or 1 minute, but you are not limited to those choices. If you want 8 minutes, you can just hit the 5 and the 3. The display will show 8 minutes. When you are ready just hit Start.
Once the timer goes off, you can hit stop to silence the timer. The display will automatically go back to the time you set it for orginally, so it is ready for you the next time you go to use it. If you do not hit stop the beeping will automatically stop after 30 seconds. If you do not hit stop, the timer will start counting up. You can see on the display how long it has been since the timer went off. The timer will not make any more noise, but it will keep counting up until you hit stop, change back to clock mode, or it maxes out at 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
My only problem with this unit is the difficulty in hanging. I knew it didn't come with a string, but I thought it would be easier to hang it. The hole at the top is too small to put through any of the hooks I had. I bought a command hook for it, It would not fit in the hole either. Just beware that the hole on top is small. You will need a way to hang it. I ended up hanging the cord from a loofa through the hole at the top and hanging it with the loofa. It works, it's just kinda weird.
Over all, it is an excellent time, and it has been very helpful for me in the mornings.
