Description: A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! With plenty of Batman statues released over the years, Gotham city's most evil is out to take revenge on the world. Joining the ranks of such greats as The Dark Knight Returns Batman vs. Joker is another classic Batman story come to life in BATMAN THE KILLING JOKE THE JOKER! A 1988 graphic novel by Alan Moore and drawn by Brian Bolland, The Killing Joke is a story about Joker and how he came to be the Clown Prince of Crime. Other than an interesting origin story for him, the book also features one of the most famous scenes in the history of comics: Joker shooting Barbara Gordon (which would in turn lead to her becoming the hero Oracle). Almost as famous as its contents is Joke's iconic cover image, captured for the first time as an ARTFX Statue! Featuring a portrait inspired by the graphic novel cover art coupled with an original pose by Kotobukiya, this new statue brings the maniacal clown to life as you've never seen him before. Joker stands with one foot resting on a crate of dynamite, smiling his huge toothy grin as he snaps a photo on his old school film camera. The sadistic villain's costume is incredibly detailed, showing off every seam, cuff, button, crease, and more on his purple three piece suit and trench coat. His outfit is even topped off by authentic studded spats, fedora, iconic white gloves, and lapel-pinned flower. The Joker's elongated white painted face leaps right off of the graphic novel cover with its deep laugh lines, left eye squeezed shut, and unruly green hair peeking out from under his hat. There's even a motion sensor built into the base that activates an LED spot lamp and camera shutter sound after a brief delay. As an added bonus, the lamp is movable and can be placed at any angle around the statue!

This statue is a grand, great quality, great texture, and design. It conveys a Joker that leave most statue designers flummoxed, something kotobukiya crafted from the very depths of their genius imaginations. The aura that he provides to your collection is undestestable for most statues. He stands at a height of 12" inches all together, and his hench man at about 5". The jokers outfit really shows his wildside, and his pose shows that audacious attitude the Joker always seems to possess, and the crazed hench man really gives it an odd, eeriily understandable mood to the statue, and gives access to all realms of imagination when you gaze at it. With that being said, theres a problem that I had with my light, it turned on for five seconds and then turned off forever afterwards, I've tried everthing and that is the only reason why I give it four stars. Other than that the statue is impeccable, and provides a false sense of granduer to the atmosphere around you with it's bizarre vibe.

Batman: The Killing Joke. The statue, no joke a perfect rendition

This is an amazing rendition of the Joker based on the DC Comics: Batman: The Killing Joke. The painting, the joker's face, posture and attitude is very striking. Brian Bolland's cover art is perfectly captured And let's not forget the cherub: great facial detail--check out the eyes on both. The camera, dynamite sticks, and light are packed separately. I found the camera a little tricky to place and was concerned I might damage the Joker's hands attempting to place the camera properly but after a few minutes I had it in place with no damage. This item comes with simple but adequate instructions if you even need them. It also comes with three AAA batteries which I replaced with my own based on another reviewers comments. There is an on/off switch in the back of the base that operates the motion sensor. Others have complained about the light and the camera shutter sound not working but I did not have a problem with those features at all. I think they are fun features and adds an extra dimension to the incredibly well done statue. Honestly I am not a collector but this is way cool, as well as the Superman and Batman 1/6 renditions by Kotobukiya. I have the Superman and waiting for the Batman to be delivered. For the price, especially for this one I believe you get more than your monies worth.

I ordered like 15 things at once on amazon and eBay. This was the first one to arrive. It wasn't what I expected, but I am happy with it. You have to assemble it yourself, and it's not made of resin like a normal bust. I would almost prefer this over resin because it decreases the fear of breaking it. Ultimately it is super awesome. I didn't read reviews until I went to write this one. The one I received doesn't make any sounds. It just has the light that comes on and off. I am considering a return while the order is still fresh, but I haven't went through with it yet. From what I have read it seems as if they stand beside the product. Since I can only post one review, you will have to check the seller's feedback to find out how that issue is resolved. All in all, it was a great deal. Everything was processed fast. I have orders that are still just sitting there that haven't shipped. Kotobukiya had this package in the mail on the same day. They were great at meeting the customer's needs. I will keep you posted if I decide to attempt the return process.

Since pre-ordering this statue, I've sat out by my mailbox everyday waiting for it to arrive like Charlie Brown waiting for a Valentine from the little red haired girl. And boy was it worth it. This statue is incredible. Just the detail of the figure alone is amazing. Every piece of clothing seems like it was sculpted separately, and the paint job is amazing. It also comes with a bunch of little extras, such as a couple sticks of dynamite and a floodlight.

The base contains a motion sensor that activates the floodlight and a shutter sound effect for the camera. The speaker is located in the dynamite crate. There is a switch in the back to turn this on or off, and three AAA batteries are included.

All the pieces are separate, so you don't have to include the flood light or Bondage Baby in your display if you don't want to. And while there are peg holes where the henchman attaches, you can't really see them.

The camera is also a separate piece and goes in from the front. It's a little tricky, especially if you're nervous about moving or bending the hand to fit it, so take care.

This is my second kotobukiya statue I have purchased and so far I haven't been disappointed with the detail and the quality of the work. This statue is from the killing joke story. The statue itself is very detailed and has a working light and a shutter sound from the camera, the speaker is in the crate. The imp from joker's carnies is optional if you want to put him on there or not. The base is round and has a motion sensor to trip the light and sound effect when the switch is turned on, it also features a stick of dynamite which you can place anywhere on the statue you wish

This Joker Made by Kotobukiya is amazing, y have some other kotobukiya statues on my own, but this is like top notch, amazingly detailed, the joker and his little demonic companion, it "takes a picture" (is just a flash that react to a movement sensor) but really, is a must have if you like batman figures to collect, the joker, kotobukiya, well, this is all that, and i'm sure everybody will love it.

PD. you have to be caterful when you put the camera on his hands... but one he grab it correctly looks EXACTLY as the comic book "the killing joke"

It is large, but sits perfectly. Only thing I don't like about it is the motion sensor light/sound.

Firstly the sound doesn't work on mine.
Secondly, the light just seems tacky.
