I have always liked Scarecrow as a villain and am glad that they finally gave him a big event of his own.

Different take on a great story
Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2023
It was a good run, heavily carried by the astounding art of Jimenez, the way he colored and designed the layouts was the best thing on this run. Scarecrow's plan is a bit reminiscent of Arkham Knight's videogame, including Ivy's participation, which makes it feel not *that* original, nor a whole new take on Scarecrow. Nonetheless, the way Tynion tried to expand the universe by introducing new characters is appreciated.
Besides this book. On this specific arc, I feel they rely too much on the tie-ins, focusing on the main Batman series means skipping a lot of stuff. There are good tie-ins, like the Nightwing ones, but some just feel like filler, had no interest in them, and making a crossover just for the sake of it.

This is what I love about Batman comics. Love the new characters and how all the pieces come together break apart and come together again.

Liked the idea and alot of the characters. But at times found it all over the place sometimes moving to a different character too quickly or not flushing out the story more or sometimes too much. Liked to see poison ivy and Harley Quinn and miracle Molly. Loved scarecrow but thought it'd be different the story. Again, I liked it but thought it was a little much at times and not enough at others.

All in all, the highlight of Tynion’s run and actually feels concise and complete ina way King’s run did not.

Most of this comic is filler an the art varies from good to meh! I actually started to skim through it to get to the good parts. It contains a lot of talking that seems to have no point in the plot ( though its possible I practically got bored skimming) those segments seem lacking. It would be a good story it just doesn't unless you cut through the boring parts an meh art it contains.

Finally! Fear State - a saga that actually kicked off in Batman 107(?) around April of 2021 - is here.
But should you care? Probably not.
Story: C+ Dialog runs long. There is no real detective work. It feels like Tynion is pushing an agenda.
Art: B+ fading to C+ by the end as Jimenez seems to grow just as tired of this thing as I am.
Detail: Over the last 10 issues Tynion has introduced a bevy of new characters and tried to expand the Batman universe so that future writers have a broader bullpen to draw one. He's also blown up a lot of things. Sounds good right?
It could be, but the dialog is so heavy handed and so focused on explaining the idea of control, that you form no connection with the characters or interest in seeing them again. Harley, who actually provides the heart of this title of late (since Batman isn't doing much detecting), fades to the background and gets limited air time. The net is a cast of characters likely to be flushed as soon as the replacement author comes on board.
Since this is a comic, I could forgive a lot of this except Jimenez seems burnt out. The art degrades with each issue and the transitional stories are done in such a different style that there is no continuity. It truly messes with your ability to submerge and be a part of the story.
Sigh... I wanted to give Tynion a thumbs up - even though he undid all of King's excellent work - but he destroyed every amount of credit he had built up.

Una delle storie di Batman più noiose di sempre

Conclusione terribile della già non eccezionale run di Tynion, una noia mortale. Un Batman veramente mediocre e passivo. Bocciato su tutta la linea.

Coming hot on the heels of the Joker War, the first half of this saga seemed a little hum-drum and melodramatic, but once I got into the tie-in Miracle Molly issue the whole thing took a sudden up-swing and I finished this book feeling very satisfied with my purchase.
I guess the concept of the whole city of Gotham getting taken-over yet again (!) seemed far-fetched, even for Batman - however the Miracle Molly issue is written with such a compelling and superbly illustrated back-story that it shows real thought and serious consideration is being given to this ongoing new-build of the Batman universe which rewards the reader as you go further-in.
I haven’t looked-up what the next event is yet, but I definitely feel like it’s time to out-grow the confines of Gotham City and stretch out a bit. There’s some mention of mother boxes and other Justice League members peppered-in towards the middle which got me yearning to see a larger-scale event play-out with more cosmic stakes.
Anyway, I’m pleased I got the full saga for this run, because it turned-out to be all-killer-no-filler in the end. Recommended.
