Single Player Character Bios

Nick Mendoza

Newly christened Miami detective Nick is from the wrong side of the tracks, the first legitimately employed member of his family for generations. Nick's a loner, a crusader, and is determined to make his way to the top of the pile. His making detective is validation that he's left behind the man he feared he might become.

Marcus "Boomer" Boone

After a few tours in Iraq as an intelligence analyst, Boomer came home and started applying the skills he learned from Uncle Sam to the criminal trade, acting as an IP specialist for a variety of nefarious characters. Though he's a gray-hat hacker, Boomer really wants to be one of the good guys and his old friend Khai gives him that chance.

Julian Dawes

Known for picking young cops out of the ranks and shaping them into star detectives, Dawes's office has been a place of tutelage and gentle idolatry for a generation of Miami's finest. Blessed with a politician's charisma and a forensic scientist's eye, Dawes is clearly grooming himself for the top brass.

Khai Minh Dao

A first-generation Vietnamese-American who hails from outside LA, Khai turned her back on the west coast and a rebellious youth to put a star on her chest. Rising quickly through the ranks, she's established herself to her fellow officers and the usual underworld suspects as a smart, able detective who isn't afraid to let her temper take over.

Tyson Latchford

Tyson spent his youth slinging cocaine, but has evolved into an upper middle-class criminal who spends more time with spreadsheets than scales and gram bags. His job is to make sure the drugs get to where they’re supposed to go; after that it’s somebody else’s problem. When he’s not working, Tyson imagines himself taking up golf.

NEW MOVES TO OWN THE BATTLEFIELD

More money, more problems -- Take control using new tactics to gather intel, obtain warrants and takedown with non-lethal force to make the arrests. Secure the cash in a thrilling new battlefield playground.

HIGH SPEED AND ACTION PACKED

Fullfill your need for speed in thrilling new action packed modes that make for intense and fluid gameplay. Hop in new powerful muscle cars, sleek bikes or even give your whole crew a lift in transport or armored trucks. Get a piece of the action.

PULL OFF THE PERFECT HEIST

New maps and gadgets change the way you play. Use grappling hooks and ziplines to scale city buildings and zip across the city with the cash. No matter the strategy, teamwork will be essential to running the turf war.

The single player mode of this game is boring. The story line is so dull in many ...
Here are a few reasons to avoid this game:1. The single player mode of this game is boring. The story line is so dull in many ways that it just seems that someone looked at a Miami Vice episode and thought that would be fun... and made it not fun.2. Multiplayer team selection is out of balance.3. This game doesn't have any player pool what so ever. There are plenty of severs but no players to fill them.4. No one plays any of the DLC. Some servers have the DLC ready to play but no one plays on them.I can say for certain that if you purchase this game for the and premium content (total value of $100), you will regret every cent you invested.

I'll start off by saying BF3 & 4 are my most played BF games. I stayed away from Hardline due to all the hate thrown its way by Youtubers & comments - BIG mistake!!!

Hardline is incredibly fun to play, the maps are beautiful & well laid out. The weapons are the same military style weapons, side arms, RPG's etc. The gadgets are unique and useful to this game. The gun-play is outstanding, the game is silky smooth running as well. Runs better than almost any other BF game!

Hardline has become arguably my favorite BF game, it's a nice diversion/change from the military angle of BF & works extremely well. The game modes are very cool as well & you still have Conquest Large & TDM. Overall this game loads of fun & well worth the purchase, I'm just sorry I waited until 2018 to pick up this absolute gem of a game.

We like the game so much we opened up a Hardline server - "New York Barracks"! Do join us for some good times with this underrated, under appreciated, over-hated game. The hate thrown at this game is TOTALLY unjustified!

~Cheers

I can't enjoy the game.

There are some bugs here and there, dead people dropping into walls, closeup shots of car tires defying physics... you get it, those moments that could use refinement when EA wants a hefty $60 from you.

After playing the beta and reading the scalding public reviews, I was really hesitant to buy the game. But the single player portion of this BF game still lured me into buying as I thought it could be a good plot. And turns out, it wasn't completely worthless! Good level designs, especially the contrast between scenery and refined environments. Guns are similar to your typical BF4 style load-out, which was plenty.

Multiuplayer brings on a fresh perspective to the BF series too, having been a BF veteran for many years.

BattleField Hardline for PC: It is a fun game, looks absolutely beautiful on max settings, only if your pc can handle it.
I got the Standard edition of the game and it came with 5 INSTALL DISCS! It was insanely stupid, It took about 40
minutes to copy over, and about 4 minutes to actually install the games, i signed in to Origin and automaticly linked the game to my account, i started the game and it opened up my browser, it brought me to some page where there was (sadly) a very small lists of servers, and the quick match option doesnt work well, and when you join a match it starts 'joining the game' at the bottom of the screen and then if it says 'loading game' you will see the game opened up on your task bar, if you click that programs picture in your task bar it will open up to the loading screen of the level, in order for you to join servers you have to download something in the browser, what sucks the most is you CAN NOT open the game at all, the ONLY time the gamr is opened is when you join a match, so that means you cant play campaign without internet either! Probably the worst DRM i have ever had to deal with, and i dont like DRM, who does?!

I really wanted to like this game because I LOVE BF4 and BF3. I have 130 hours on BF3 and 470 hours on BF4. Yes. 470 hours.

I have 3 hours on this game. It is seriously awful. I wish I could return it. The gun play is super bad. They made the starter guns so bad. The only way to play at first is by collecting monies through CQ games and get lucky around-the-corner kills.

TDM spawns are awful. Sometimes, you spawn properly. Away from the action where you can reset your approach. Most of the time you just spawn in front of a guy with a shotgun already aimed at your direction.

The game modes are so cheesy. Yuck. Just thinking about the 3 hours I spent on this game makes me sad.

Coming from BF4 for its tough to compete with BF4, although if you're coming from COD or another game its probably better. I think its somewhere between BF4 and COD, BF4 is more realistic, Hardline is in the middle and COD is more arcade like. Coming from BF4
if I paid $59 I'd be disappointed (but I got the game for $39) The guns are poor until you get 30 - 90 kills and can unlock the attachments until then you'll be playing like a noob, although burst fire or single shot tap fire may reduce the pain of getting kills. It's also based on money so you'll find yourself playing driving games to get cash to buy things, normal games don't give you enough cash. Need cash, play driving mode on a low player server, in a window, let someone else drive while you read email or work on something else. Assault class has a lot of overpowered guns and people tend to play the class more. Frustrating to have each faction have its own guns, if you by a gun as a cop you won't have it as a criminal, you have to buy a criminal gun. Still, some hidden walls after usually after a levolution event, roofs of collapsed building are worst, you see someone shoot them and they don't get hit once as your shooting into an invisible wall. On occasion some people can shoot you from impossible angles, get killed before you peek around a corner and even see your opponent.

gtx 770 sli & i7-4790k, average 120fps (100-140). and when disabling sli i get an average of 80fps (60-100). with all ultra settings. if you had battlefield 4 then this system wise is going to play the exact same. just a little less buggy. a little more fun in my opinion but with the cost of a little cheaper graphics and only a quarter of the total weapons. but all in all this is a very great buy for pc. just don't think the premium i got for this was... oh and btw the campaign is better in this one even though both games have short storylines.

It's definitely not as bad as people say it is. This was my first battlefield game and I remember playing the beta way back when. I beat the campaign which I found was actually great and it left me with that sad feeling you get after you finish a story. The multiplayer is also quite enjoyable. However, I must warn you, I live in Toronto and I can only access 2-4 servers with 20-50 players at any given time. This isn't bad as it is far from dead, from it's not that lively either. Also, pretty much all servers run vanilla maps so do not buy the dlc. I only occasionally see this Chicago server that runs dlc maps, but its only filled up around 7 out of 10. Though, in the end, this is a solid game that is a great deal if it drops to 9.99 on amazon or on origin during a sale.

Singleplayer - 9 out of 10
Multiplayer -7.8 out of 10 (the amount of players is factored into this)
