Marcus "Boomer" BooneAfter a few tours in Iraq as an intelligence analyst, Boomer came home and started applying the skills he learned from Uncle Sam to the criminal trade, acting as an IP specialist for a variety of nefarious characters. Julian DawesKnown for picking young cops out of the ranks and shaping them into star detectives, Dawes's office has been a place of tutelage and gentle idolatry for a generation of Miami's finest. Hardline is incredibly fun to play, the maps are beautiful & well laid out. The weapons are the same military style weapons, side arms, RPG's etc. The gadgets are unique and useful to this game. The gun-play is outstanding, the game is silky smooth running as well. Runs better than almost any other BF game!
Hardline has become arguably my favorite BF game, it's a nice diversion/change from the military angle of BF & works extremely well. The game modes are very cool as well & you still have Conquest Large & TDM. Overall this game loads of fun & well worth the purchase, I'm just sorry I waited until 2018 to pick up this absolute gem of a game.
We like the game so much we opened up a Hardline server - "New York Barracks"! Do join us for some good times with this underrated, under appreciated, over-hated game. The hate thrown at this game is TOTALLY unjustified!
~Cheers
After playing the beta and reading the scalding public reviews, I was really hesitant to buy the game. But the single player portion of this BF game still lured me into buying as I thought it could be a good plot. And turns out, it wasn't completely worthless! Good level designs, especially the contrast between scenery and refined environments. Guns are similar to your typical BF4 style load-out, which was plenty.
Multiuplayer brings on a fresh perspective to the BF series too, having been a BF veteran for many years.
I got the Standard edition of the game and it came with 5 INSTALL DISCS! It was insanely stupid, It took about 40
minutes to copy over, and about 4 minutes to actually install the games, i signed in to Origin and automaticly linked the game to my account, i started the game and it opened up my browser, it brought me to some page where there was (sadly) a very small lists of servers, and the quick match option doesnt work well, and when you join a match it starts 'joining the game' at the bottom of the screen and then if it says 'loading game' you will see the game opened up on your task bar, if you click that programs picture in your task bar it will open up to the loading screen of the level, in order for you to join servers you have to download something in the browser, what sucks the most is you CAN NOT open the game at all, the ONLY time the gamr is opened is when you join a match, so that means you cant play campaign without internet either! Probably the worst DRM i have ever had to deal with, and i dont like DRM, who does?!
I have 3 hours on this game. It is seriously awful. I wish I could return it. The gun play is super bad. They made the starter guns so bad. The only way to play at first is by collecting monies through CQ games and get lucky around-the-corner kills.
TDM spawns are awful. Sometimes, you spawn properly. Away from the action where you can reset your approach. Most of the time you just spawn in front of a guy with a shotgun already aimed at your direction.
The game modes are so cheesy. Yuck. Just thinking about the 3 hours I spent on this game makes me sad.
if I paid $59 I'd be disappointed (but I got the game for $39) The guns are poor until you get 30 - 90 kills and can unlock the attachments until then you'll be playing like a noob, although burst fire or single shot tap fire may reduce the pain of getting kills. It's also based on money so you'll find yourself playing driving games to get cash to buy things, normal games don't give you enough cash. Need cash, play driving mode on a low player server, in a window, let someone else drive while you read email or work on something else. Assault class has a lot of overpowered guns and people tend to play the class more. Frustrating to have each faction have its own guns, if you by a gun as a cop you won't have it as a criminal, you have to buy a criminal gun. Still, some hidden walls after usually after a levolution event, roofs of collapsed building are worst, you see someone shoot them and they don't get hit once as your shooting into an invisible wall. On occasion some people can shoot you from impossible angles, get killed before you peek around a corner and even see your opponent.
