I watch this move at least once a year. You will like it too.

Although I have seen the movie several times, it still is somewhat faithful to the history of the bulge. It's pretty generic in the presentation as you never know if this is the 502pir, 506th[ir, etc. No, it's not as good as Band of Brothers, but is excellent in its own right. It managed to convey the lack of winter clothing. lack of ammunition, and the fact Bastogne was surrounded. It is one of the better character studies of men in war. . . .ever.

Battle of the Bulge

I was looking for a ww2 movie to watch to help me get in the spirit of memorial day. This one did it! I would highly recommend you watching this movie to get you in the spirit of WWII. Only gave it 3 stars cause I'm so used to the FX of today, so I may be unfair comparing with the FX of the 1950s, but, that's the way it is!

Blu-ray poor quality

This review is for the Blu-Ray copy only I would give the movie 5 plus stars but the Blu-Ray copy is poor at best. I have the DVD copy and it is great but I thought I would get the redone HD version. Worst HD remix I have seen, the picture is grainy and a some points looks like snow when there is none. Some of the foggy scenes are even worse. The picture quality reminds me of a copy of a copy of a VHS tape.
Don't waste your money on the Blu-Ray, If you want to get the movie get the DVD copy for less and enjoy a better picture.

Many of us are familiar with the story of the heroic action of the 101st airborne division at Bastogne. This movie doesn't come close to depicting that story. As with most old war movies, the acting was poor and the depiction of the battle scenes was unrealistic.
