At the time of purchase, I paid $6.47, which was the same price at Walmart and cheaper than Home Depot. Great purchase!
Honestly: they look and feel incredibly cheap. For my purposes, that doesn't mean anything. I have two of these set up right now with grow lights in them for my seedlings. The fixtures work well - exactly as they are intended. They are easy to figure out (set up, what goes where, etc). The cord length leaves something to be desired but it's not unmanageable. I've attached a picture of one set up.
These are literally perfect for what I was looking for. I was able to clamp them to a number of different things while trialing where they'd fit best. They're sturdy enough, function as intended, and the price can't be beat. I'm happy with the purchase and if I purchase additional E27 bulbs, I'll be getting more of these fixtures.
Do buy these: if you're looking for an inexpensive light fixture solution
Don't buy these: if cosmetics/aesthetics is your intention - they are not pretty and there's no way to change that.
Also, this might come as a no-brainer to everyone except me: if you buy these, the metal dome piece screws onto the base where you insert the light. I was struggling with how to assemble, as I've see a few different methods for this type of unit.
If I had to find any fault with them I would only wish the cord was a little longer. The cord is about 6 feet which should work fine for most. But I think they would have even more positive reviews if they made it to maybe 10 feet instead. Nothing an extension cord can't fix though.
