This is a rather inexpensive product. Unless I'm buying electronics, I don't usually go for the expensive, top of the line items. Having said that, I usually lower my expectations when purchasing a cheaper product. Every once in a while I get surprised and my expectations are exceeded. This was one of those times.

Although inexpensive, this umbrella is very sturdy and the quality is just fine; the colors are bright, too (just like in the pictures). I love the fact that the umbrella came with an auger, which has made anchoring the umbrella in the sand an easy task.

We don't go to the beach very often, but have used the umbrella about 5 times now over the course of a year. It has held up very well, and it's always quite windy where we go. Not once have we had the umbrella fly off in the wind, nor have we worried about that possibility. If you take your time pushing it into the sand far enough, it'll be very hard for the wind to blow it over. Even when titled, the umbrella has withstood some strong wind gusts; no problems whatsoever! The colors have not faded, either.

This umbrella provides sufficient shade for me and my wife, but if you like to lie down (as opposed to sit in a chair) and want your entire body to be in the shade, you may want to look for a bigger umbrella. As we've started to use chairs, we are able to fit under just fine.

Overall, we're quite happy with this umbrella - it is sturdy, looks nice, and has held up quite well. Hard to beat that, especially for the price!

I bought this umbrella in May 2015 and used it once at the beach last year. The umbrella failed to close and I had to trash it at the beach (if the blue button that allows the umbrella to collapse is not aligned PERFECTLY with the clip, the umbrella will not close).
The supplier gave me a hassle about returning a partial umbrella assembly. Eventually, they did replace the top part of the umbrella last year, with hesitation. Yesterday, I went to the beach for the first time this year. I used the umbrella and it opened nicely. However, it was windy at the beach and again the umbrella would not collapse and the pole bent. Again I had to trash the umbrella.
This umbrella is JUNK. Yes, it looks nice. Yes, it provides adequate shade, but if you plan to use it at the beach and it gets windy, there’s a good chance it will not close.

We purchased this umbrella to take on our vacation and allow us to spend endless hours sitting on the beach without worry of over exposure. Well, think again. Before the umbrella even made it to the beach, during a trial run in our living room the day before departure, the button for the tilt feature got stuck in the in-position only permitting the umbrella to tilt. We attempted to coax the button out of the position and were not successful. We decided that a tilting umbrella was better than no umbrella and packed it for our journey. Well, think again. A tilting umbrella offers very little sun shield when sitting on a windy beach. In fact, it blows inside out and causes the metal frame to break rendering it useless. But not before blowing the tilt button to the out-position (we were initially excited, only to learn it was just broken and simply not stuck any more). So…if you plan to be on a beach with breezes more than say 5 mph, don’t buy this umbrella. It sucks. We went to a local beach store and spent $10 more and bought a durable and reliable umbrella that lasted the remaining 6 days of our vacation and came home with us for our next journey. My mother always taught me, you get what you pay for.

I am very pleased with my purchase. It is very easy to assemble & easy to carry with the cover on and over the shoulder strap. I have used it several times and love it. It has the screw in bottom for the sand but I purchased a metal screw holder and placed the umbrella pole inside for more sturdiness. I did have to grind the screw part of the screw blades down on the umbrella pole for it to fit in the metal on i purchased. This is a great umbrella for a day at the beach. I am totally pleased and recommend this product to anyone that wants a bit of shade at the beach!

Used this at the beach for five days and it did the trick...well mostly. It was fairly windy (as it tends to be at the beach) and my umbrella took flight several times a day to whack unsuspecting sunbathers in the head. As expected this was fairly embarrassing. There were other umbrellas that stayed in place but, they looked way more costly than mine. For the price you can't beat it. If the sand is dry putting some water around the pole and packing it in after buried helps out tremendously. It is way cooler and more comfortable under the umbrella. For a short trip to the beach not a bad choice.

I liked the umbrella and color, but the pole was paper thin. I put this in the metal Umbrella Stand and the pole was dented when I tied it with the screw in the stand using my bare hand. I bought a cheaper and smaller umbrella before at CVS and that one had the pole 100 time stronger than this pole. I could not believe the manufacturer used a thin aluminum for this big umbrella. Under the wind, the pole was dented many places where it contacted with the stand and screw. I am now thinking about how to make the pole stronger.
