Amazon.com Product Description As all-in-one solutions go, you simply can't beat the A100 Amplified Bass Tubes by Bazooka. Designed to be a simple-to-install, yet effective upgrade to your car's existing mobile audio system, the A100 Bass Tubes feature a 100-watt, 2-channel amplifier built right in, coupled to a dual voice coil woofer. Since the amplifier has a built-in crossover to remove the high frequencies that the woofer cannot play from the signal, you get exactly what you need in the A100's--crisp, clean bass and nothing more. When connected to your system, the end result is seamless integration, both electrically and audibly, yielding sound quality that your factory system simply can't touch.

BT Amplified Bass Tubes
The new amplified Bazooka subwoofers feature the legendary patented Bass Tubes enclosure design, but with a twist. These units are completely self-contained bass monsters. Available in 100-Watt BTL or 250-Watt Class D amplifier configurations, the new amplified Bazooka subwoofers are the true solution to the common automobile interior problem of "not enough space for bass."
A Bazooka subwoofer adds the bass, clarity, and realism that your system is missing with absolutely no modifications to your car, its warranty, or its original audio system. If you are leasing your car, there is no better way to upgrade your stereo system than by adding a Bazooka subwoofer.
The BTA8100 features a 8 inch dual voice coil subwoofer, and fits in places most subs can't. The 8 inch works great behind the seat of mid-size and full-size trucks, the trunks of sedans or hatchbacks. Simply point it into the rear corner to take advantage of the Bass Tubes Enclosure, and you're rockin' in no time!
The Bazooka subwoofer's patented Bass Tubes bass-reflex enclosure design allows for use of 100% of the woofer's cone area. Inch for inch, Bass Tube enclosures will outperform most boxes.
The Bazooka Bass Tubes enclosure is optimized for corner loading. The Bass Tubes enclosure's port and woofer are on the same plane and in close proximity for maximum corner-loading results. And, just like a megaphone amplifies a cheerleader's voice, the corner of your car amplifies the concentrated bass output of the Bass Tubes enclosure.
The Bass Tubes enclosure's advantage is it fits any vehicle. It's the perfect fit for a perfect sound.
As with all Bass Tubes Enclosures, the BTA6100 comes with straps to keep the sub securely mounted, while still making removal quick and easy if you need even more cargo room.
Use Bazooka's F.A.S.T. harnesses to make installation even easier! They're an easy way to protect your vehicle's warranty by making installation a simple, plug-in process. The T-shaped harness has three ends: one plugs into your car's OE radio, one plugs into the plug you removed from the OE radio, and the third end runs all the way back to the rear of the car and plugs into your A100 Bazooka subwoofer. Great for leased vehicles, the F.A.S.T. systems are available for most popular cars.
Bazooka's RBCM-100 Remote Bass Control Module allows you to control the amount of bass from the driver's seat.
Optional Chrome-Plated UMS Brackets give a flashier look, as well as a more secure, permanent mounting when removal isn't a problem.

First, I installed the unit myself. I purchased an additional kit in order to have adequate quality and length for the cables running from the back of the Bazooka unit (A/V and power) to the back of an after market Kenwood deck (and the battery, in the case of the power cable). Set up and installation were not difficult for me, though, I can see why someone not inclined to fiddle with things themselves would want to have it installed.
Second, this is literally one of the only units that would fit in my 97 Nissan, single cab pickup. The seat is pulled way forward, and the unit barely fits- but it's in there.
Third, I listen to all genres of music, and I feel like this unit adds the needed depth to most musical experiences. However, it should be noted that this is not a "bass system" in the sense that most people are hoping. It fills the cab of my truck with sound, I can feel it vibrating the back of my seat and see it vibrating the mirrors, but it is not the kind of gut rattling - stare inducing - wall of sound, bass for which many enthusiasts are looking. I love to listen to hip-hop, pop, and rap music. However, this unit does not necessarily do those genres justice. Is it better than door mounted speakers alone? Absolutely. Will people in the cars next to you at stop lights be able to tell what you are listening to? Nah.
So, here is the bottom line. People that purchase these speakers should have reasonable expectations about what this unit will accomplish. It will add the much needed "lower end" to the music you enjoy. It is likely to keep up with the output of your deck and other speakers. It is convenient because it fits in small vehicles and does not require an amplifier. Buyers should note that this unit will be a huge disappointment if you are looking for something to carry a "bass system." It will not give you either the volume or the ultra low range of bass that is necessary to enjoy certain types of hip-hop and rap.
This unit has been well worth the money I paid for it, both in its reliability and in its quality performance. Five stars.
After maybe a little under a year owning these, I'm still really happy with the purchase. The bass can really rattle the trunk if you're playing the right kind of music. And it seems to respond well to my adjustments on my mediocre stereo. I have the (additional purchase) switch running to the front of my car, so I can adjust the level. I generally have to keep it around a 3 or 4 (out of 10) or else it's just way too much bass.
It has its faults: the bass gets muddy at high levels - the installation/manual sucked for someone with no experience but was manageable. But again if you're looking for a serious system in your car, all-in-one enclosures like this aren't probably going to cut it. However, for someone like myself who wanted a little more power, this was perfect.
