I saw the infomercial for Body Flex and was beyond intrigued. What really got my attention was when she said "You don't even have to change what you're eating". I was like, what? Huh? I was on the phone ordering in 2 seconds. When I received my package I could hardly wait to open it and get started. I did my first workout that day, then every day thereafter for 30 days. Now, I want to mention that I did NOT change my diet. I was still eating Jack in the Box, Mac Donald's, and Burger King every single day, 3 times a day. Within days I felt my body changing. I started getting firmer, and more toned. At the end of those 30 days I had lost 15 pounds and 19 inches total. I looked great and felt great. Everyone noticed the difference.
I felt so good that I hired a chef to come and cook all our meals since I still didn't have time to do it myself. But after having lost the weight, I wanted to eat healthier and that was the only way it was going to happen. I kept doing Body Flex and kept losing weight. Life was great. Here I am 15 years later and almost back up to the weight I was back in 2000. I see all these workout programs that are out now, but honestly, I don't have it in me or even want to have to workout like that. I want to go back to what I KNOW works, and Body Flex works. Anyone who says it doesn't or didn't work, wasn't doing it correctly. I tried teaching so many people how to do it, but it was like they just couldn't get it. Well, I got it and wanted it to work, so I made sure I was doing it right. I got to the point where I could do it frontward and backward in my sleep.
All I have to say is, do this workout. If you have breathing problems, you might want to check with your doctor, but this is something you should stick with for life. Why do we always give up or stop doing what we know works? I don't know but I've decided that I want to get back on this horse and never get off. If you're looking old and haggard, this will help you to look and feel so much younger. If you're tired and worn down, this will give you so much energy and your body will thank you.
BONUS PEOPLE: You can find the original Body Flex videos FREE on YouTube. Just type in "Greer Childers Body Flex workout". It was like Christmas when I found them. Yes, the quality is pretty bad, but you can still use it and get the benefit from them. I'd recommend getting the book as well, but you don't have to. I have to admit that I've purchased about 6 or 7 of them over the years. Don't ask my why, but I guess I didn't want to lose the connection to the only thing that I was actually able to stick with... EVER.
Anyway, don't listen to anyone that tells you that you have to change the way you're eating in order for Body Flex to work. You absolutely DO NOT. I sure didn't. But I do recommend over time choosing to make small changes little by little just to keep your body healthy as you age. Too often we take our health for granted until it's too late. I'll be 50 this year and I cannot allow myself to go another year looking and feeling sick, fat and tired. I'm done and I'm going back to doing Body Flex every day.
When looking on YouTube for the videos, you'll find a bunch of parody ones, don't waste your time, look for ones from user Firm80. Those are the full workouts. Go do it!
I am now in my early 60's and am a Nanna to 3 grandbabies and a homemaker. From my neck to my calves I have about 53 inches I would like to loose between doing BodyFlex and Callanetics . Both of these programs are excellent exercise for the body with no stress on joints etc. With both of these exercise programs you stretch and elongate all areas of your body and improve your posture, strength muscles, burn fat and increase your oxygen intake through BodyFlex with keeps the whole body healthier. I am on a Self-Improvement Journey
I thank God for these two women who dared to research and gain knowledge about the human bodyand searched out answers to overcame their health issues.
These two women dared to think outside the box and through their unique ways of improving their body they then shared with us and made it possible financially for us do improve ourselves as well getting the same results that Callan Pinchney and Greer Childers did. Their bodies are true examples that their exercise works!!!!
Remember this: The KEY to success IS CONSISTANCY AND PERSISTANCE. I am doing these two workouts for my body as part of my life-style until the Lord takes me home. I want to be at my best for God, myself and my family. Life is good! I am feeling a difference already doing Callanetics and BodyFlex.
I cook healthy and I am not "dieting". I enjoy the occassional dessert on the weekends only and avoided processed food. Yes there is some effort in cooking however make it a family activity like you do playing a game or going for a bike ride. Eating is a time for family to get together from preping food, to cooking it, eating and the clean up... get the whole family involved because Eating is a Family-Affair. Make your kitchen attractive by just having it neat, clean and organized so that you enjoy too.
