Ty Dolla $ign has actually done it! He made his second album a professional and polished R&B mixtape. Beach House 3 has all the chill vibes of Ty's mixtapes, but with the gorgeous singing of his features and debut album Free TC and less cluttered features. The features are either really nice succinct verses or more gorgeous harmonies that melt into Ty's full sultry vocals wonderfully.
Beach House 3 is the best R&B album of 2017. This CD really impressed. The singing is beautiful, the hooks are memorable, the beats slap while maintaining Ty Dolla $ign's mellow chill vibe.
The producers all gave their signature sounds, while also collaborating with others to marry new styles into the lush soundscape of Beach House 3. If you just press play, Beach House 3 is a dream to listen to the end.
I'm so proud of Ty for progressing and expanding his sound while simultaneously tightening up his songwriting into strong songs. There is so much to love about this album.
Beach House 3 even manages to utilize its run time efficiently. Even with 20 songs, it does not overstay its welcome. There are several shorter songs that act as intermediaries with lovely results that delight in between the main tracks. These short, but sweet songs are much preferred to than forgettable interludes or the usual hip hop or R&B corny skits. Great production choice by Ty.
I highly recommend you listen to Beach House 3 by Ty Dolla $ign.
