WHAT TO DO WITH WATER BEADS
1. Sensory Water Beads
Sensory play is what water beads are best at. Kids of all ages love the feel and look of them. They are so enticing! Colorful, smooth, squishy, cool… Really, there’s not much more you need to do with water beads than have a bowl full of them to plunge your hands into and hold and squish them.
Water beads seem like magic to kids because the beads start out so tiny and grow within a few hours. Just watching the beads change is a fun activity for younger kids.
2. Decorating with Water Beads
The most common use for water beads is in decorating. Use them in vases, bowls, and jars for eye appeal. They are great for centerpieces for weddings and other events. The water beads really add a wow factor that can turn ordinary vases and bowls into something beautiful.
3. Water Beads for Plants
Water beads are also great to use with plants. They help plants retain water and reduce the amount of watering plants need. They release the water gradually so the plant isn't flooded with water.
The water beads can also act as a replacement for soil with some plants. Bamboo plants do well with water beads rather than soil.
How to Use Water Beads
1. 1 tsp dry beads will yield about 1 quart of Water beads when fully hydrated.
2. Allow the beads to fully expand in 6-8 hours.
3. Remove the expanded beads from the water and pour into vases or bowls and ready to use.

I guess it was worth it, though. Because my kids love these things. I'm not sure I understand the craze myself, but my kids go nuts for these.
We had to fill a bin up with the beads because they kept expanding. In my video, I said that I thought they were as big as they would get. But after I shut off the camera, my son informed me that they would get bigger. And he was right. They have since gotten a bit larger, and that was earlier this morning.
These are the same quality as other brands, and there are so many colors from purple to a couple of different shades of green and turquoise, clear, black, white, and more. These are just way too much fun for kids.
I received this item for evaluation and review.
DO NOT DUMP ALL OF THEM OUT AT ONCE
As amazing as these are, I regret dumping them all out at once.
1) They don't dehydrate quickly. (It took about 3 months for them to dehydrate, and 1 rainy day ruined that...)
2) THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM
Getting rid of them took two 7 gallon buckets to move them all outside, and each bucket must have weighed 30 pounds each.
Trust me, these are AMAZINGLY fun, I would totally buy again for the fun I was able to have. But these are a nuisance to dispose of.
Should you buy them? YES YES YES.
Should you dump them all at at once? NO NO AND HELL NO.

We have tried small and the large beads and we found these beads are the best bargain - bang for your dollar. Unlike the majority of other beads, you are getting a TON! When we weighed our bag, it actually came in at 8.7oz. (So more than advertised which is not common these days.) As with the other water beads we have used, these worked similar. Just add water (distilled for best results) and wait up to 8hrs or overnight for max size. While ours were bought for my 9 year old to play with, these would also be ideal for party and decorations. There are a lot of different colors and even when they get large, they hold a color very well.
-Work best with distilled water.
-Takes 8 hrs to overnight for best absorption.
-Use 1.5 quarts of water per tbsp of beads.
These beads start out incredibly tiny, but once immersed in water for about an hour.. they become much larger and considerably bouncy. They're soft while growing but do end up getting pretty firm when max size. They are squishy though so I do not recommend putting too much pressure on them or they will simply break apart into mush. You will want to run your hands through a big fat pile of these though!
I also because we just had so many to play with, decided to go ahead and sort out specific colors for myself. I used some in a vase in my bathroom to match my decor and stuck some fake flowers in it. Looks good.
Would definitely purchase again.
Also, buyer beware of these going down your drain. Not fun.
