Product Description

The Bean-B-Clean A parent's best friend in the fight against cradle cap. Cradle cap is not a reflection on you as a parent- many babies will experience it. Cradle cap (seborrhea) is crusty or flaky skin that can appear on baby's scalp, ears, or even eyebrows. Head it off at the pass or lessen the severity (if it's already present) by using The Bean-B-Clean as recommended every day. ? Wet baby's head with warm water. Use a small amount of your favorite oil (baby, olive, vegetable) and massage into baby's scalp. ? Apply gentle pressure using a circular motion as you massage baby's scalp with The Bean-B-Clean brush; rinse baby's head. Wash brush with any soap and warm water and rinse it to free captured oil and loosened debris. ? Using your favorite tear-free baby shampoo, lather baby's head. Use scrub brush to gently massage away any remaining traces of oil. ? Rinse and repeat as necessary. ? Make sure to wash The Bean-B-Clean with soap and warm water and rinse thoroughly between uses. Store (bristles down) in an open area to air dry. Note: Do not use on baby's scalp if abrasions or irritation are present.

Around 6 months my son got a bad case of cradle cap. I tried everything (olive oil, baby oil, etc.) and nothing worked until I used this brush with Mustela Foam Shampoo for Newborns - 5.07 oz. I let the shampoo sit for a few minutes then gently rubbed the brush in circles on his scalp to loosen the flakes. I rinsed and voila. After only a week there was a significant decrease in the flakes and after a month it was completely gone. The brush fits easily in your hand and the bristles are soft enough that they don't hurt baby's head. It comes apart and is very easy to clean. Works much better than a comb. Highly recommend at least trying this. It's worth every penny.

I bought this brush because the hospital didn't send me home with one this time around, unlike my first two babies. If you are an expecting mom, make sure you ask for the brush they used on your baby in the nursery because it works just as well and you already paid for it anyway! If you must buy your own, this brush works great for curing cradle cap. My baby had a pretty bad case and after the first scrub with baby oil and then scrubbing with shampoo there were only a couple of flakes left. The rest came off in the next wash and it has not made a return! I continue to use it each bath and it keeps my baby's scalp clear, plus she seems to really enjoy the gentle head scrub. I should note, when you order this you only get one brush, although the picture leads you to think you might get two. That's all you need though, so no biggie, just thought I'd point that out so you know what to expect.

My 4 month old daughter's cradle cap was severe. After using this brush once a day with baby shampoo for 2 weeks, the cradle cap has cleared up completely. I highly recommend this product.

My son had a mild case of cradle cap. I bought this to use with the Mustela foam shampoo (which I love). My son is still an infant and this brush was too rough for him. If your child has a mild case don't bother with this brush. This brush is probably better with bad cases of cradle cap.

Out of all the baby info classes we did No One ever mentioned cradle cap!! So after a week my soon was born I noticed it wasn't going a way... this helped at 1st we would put coconut oil on he's scalp then massage with it seemed to helped but what really helped was placing a warm cloth soaked in water on he's head while we gave him his bath Then Used It And If Worked So Much Better On Removing The Cradle cap... Now We Use It Like A Scalp Bath scubber

My baby has fine but thick straight blond hair. Cradle cap is an ongoing battle. This cradle cap brush is just one of the tools in my arsenal.

I've heard that oil works well, and it probably does. But I don't use that because I've read that if you don't wash it out thoroughly it can clog pours and make cradle cap worse. My baby usually lets me give him a long bath, but sometimes he wants out NOW or he spits up in the water or worse which cuts bathtime short, and I didn't want to risk having to take him out with his head full of oil.

1. First I wash his hair with a cloth baby wipe and Dr. Bronner's baby soap. I leave the wet cloth on his head for a little while, while I wash the rest of him and then play with him a little bit. Meanwhile, the cradle cap softens up a little.
2. Next, I use a fine comb and brush his hair up and out so it sticks up in all directions. This exposes his scalp, I can see the worst cradle cap spots and the brush bristles can reach the scalp through thick hair.
3. I use the brush to lightly scrub the scalp, in little circles or zig zag motions. This will loosen up the edges of some of the flakes, and work some of them come of into the hair.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until bathwater cools or until baby wants to leave the bathtub.
5. Remove baby from tub. Dry baby and hair. Cradle cap will still be soft for a period of time.
6. Some flakes will only be partially stuck to head, they can be loosened with a fingernail or toothbrush while baby is nursing or sitting in wrap. Loose flakes can be removed with fingernails or a fine comb.

This is what I do, and the cradle cap brush definitely helped. It loosens up the edges of flakes in a large area. Baby now has isolated flakes on scalp, but before the brush had a pretty solid layer of cradle cap on his crown. The brush isn't a magic bullet, but I think its worth it.

This brush is a must have for baby! My baby had a reoccuring case of cradle cap. We started using this brush during bath time and it cleared right up. We use it at every bath time now and it hasn't been back! Just lather hair, gently brush baby's hair in circles and rinse! Easy as that!

My son has had cradle cap for a couple months, I have been putting off buying anything because I read it will just go away. When it didn't go away I read to try breast milk, so I tried that and it didn't help. I tried adding coconut oil, letting it soak and a few flakes came off. I finally broke down and bought this along with a cradle cap shampoo...

My first attempt was to follow the shampoo instructions by washing his hair, letting it sit and using this brush while shampooing. I was happy, it worked a good amount. But after it dried there was still a ton left...

So I read the instructions on this brush, which said to start with oil (I used coconut oil) and then use the brush on it and WOW... what a HUGE difference, so many flakes came off it was incredible.

The shampoo was not necessary, just buy this and follow the instructions. I am incredibly happy, 70% came off just by following the instructions in one treatment. I will follow up with another session and expect it to be completely gone.

This is also nice to have just to style fine baby hair and is soft on his head.
