This book will go into my reread pile simply because I fell in love with our H and h. The writing is superb and the dialogue is believable. I recommend starting with book 1 and even going back and reading Kalkin for an even better reading experience. You definitely won the disappointed with This book or series.
Emma travels to Window Rock with some friends from college.
It's a large group of friends.
Almost all of them are shifters.
Emma brings along her younger sister, Cassidy.
Emma and Cassidy lost their parents after her sister's birth.
Emma and her sister were tossed out of their bear clan and got put into foster care.
They don't know much about being shifters.
Meeting the Raferty and Dryer pack, is an eye-opening affair to say the least.
This is a rowdy, raunchy, and raw bunch of shifters that let everything hang out.
Things become easier for Emma when she finally accepts the bond she shares with wolf shiftet, Bodhi whom she's been crushing on.
I enjoyed this story. I enjoyed the characters. It got difficult keeping some people straight because there was so much going on, but I liked it. Both Emma and Bodhi had rough childhoods, but eventually his family rallied around him and they will so the same for Emma.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book and was not compensated in any way.
TL Reeve and Michele Ryan know how to co-write a spectacular story together! I like how they seem to mesh their talent together to create something fresh and amazing in a genre where I think I seen it all. These two authors made me feel like I was reading the genre in a new light and I like that a whole lot! I am really attached to this series and can't wait to see what else is next from them.
Bearing It All gets a SENSATIONAL FIVE SHOOTING STARS!
I gave this story 4 stars because even after reading the appendix about who everyone was it was still confusing until I got about half way through the story and then it all clicked into place.
Still an awesome story! I recommend reading it.
Definitely want to read more.
