Watch out ladies, there is a new alpha in town and he’s f***ing delicious…and ALL MINE!

If you like edgy stories about bad boy, tattooed, muscular, sexy as sin alpha male fighters with lip biting, toe curling sex scenes, then this is the book for you!

Renee “Ren” Miller goes looking for her Dad, who she hasn’t seen or heard from since she was 5 years old, after her Mum dies from cancer. She finds him at a MMA Gym he owns called “Beat”.

Their situation is extremely awkward after Ren’s Dad left her to care for her cancer stricken Mum and moved in with his other family. He tells her she can live at the gym in the spare room upstairs, which is just a storage closet with a mattress in it.

Still mourning her Mum’s death and the lack of compassion or caring shown from her Dad, she starts taking beginner MMA classes at the gym and quickly moves up to the more complex classes and finds they cool her anger that is boiling beneath the surface.

She quickly becomes friends with twins Dean and Lincoln, the MMA fighters her Dad trains at the gym and they become protective of her. When golden boy Ash Fuller, who her Dad used to train until his banning from the MMA Pro Circuit 4 years ago, reappears at the gym, Ren finds she cannot get the sexy MMA fighter out of her head.

Ash was known as being a playboy but when he sets his sights on Ren, he wants more than a hook up with her, which is new to him so he keeps his distance. There is more to Ash then meets the eye and when he starts showing up at the gym with fighting injuries, Ren demands answers.

When she gets those answers, Ash will do anything to keep her from getting involved in his dangerous lifestyle for fear that she will also enjoy and feel alive in that lifestyle.

Absolutely bloody brilliant. What an amazing character Ren is, one of the best female leads I've read. And Ash! Holy hotness am I lusting after that bad boy. This book is all about breaking the rules, about two people who are so right for each other trying not to be. It's hot, it's action filled and it creates the best images in your head as you're reading, I really cannot wait for book two.

If you like edgy stories that have tattooed men mma fighting and more hot men. This will be the book for you. There is a love story in the pages also. Renee, Ren Miller. Is on the hunt for her father. The man who abandoned her when she was five years old. To look after her cancer ridden mother. She didn't get a chance at having a normal life. She used all energy to take care of her and she never had the chance to have a normal life. After her mother dies Ren goes on the hunt to find the man that left her. She wanted to meet him and remind him of what he did. Tracking him down and finds him training mma fighters in a gym he owns. Her father takes her in lets her stay at the gym in the stock room. Ren becomes friend with the guys working out and makes and enemy with her step sister. Things were going good she is taking classes working out all her frustration about her dad not caring and the loss of her mother. She works out hard and kicks ass with the guys

Until the day Ash walks into the gym. The cocky MMA fighter that is her dad's prized guy. She is digusted and yet intrigued with him all at the same time. As they work out and finally give in to their desires . Things explode and all hell breaks loose. Will things ever be the same after all that happens . Will they survive the out come

This is the first book I have read from Amity Cross. What a book to begin with. She takes us on a thrill ride. She takes us from the pits of hell back up again, the characters are broken but lovable. The relationship between the two main characters is a strange one but it works. They need each other and in a strange way they do love each other. There are just too many things that are going against them.

The whole cast of characters are great.

I loved everything about this book. The characters, the plot, the suspense, and even the ending, though I feel like I should demand Pulse right now!

Renee (Ren) Miller has not had an easy time at life. Her father abandoned her at five, leaving her to deal with a chronically ill mother. Upon her mother's death, taking her last request, Ren sets out to find her father and try to attempt a relationship with him. She tracks him down to the gym/training center he now owns, only the reunion doesn't go well. While things might not go well with her father, Ren does form relationships with other club members, twins who are training and the elusive prodigal "not son" Ash who's just returned after a long absence.

Ren was such a unique character. True, she had issues, what person wouldn't after all she had been through, but she was still a good person at heart. She's been let down so many times, but she still tries to give the benefit of the doubt. I loved that she found peace in MMA, she took the one thing she could get from her father (training facility and classes) and used it to her benefit. It showed how much determination she had to do something for herself. And also seemed a last ditch effort to try to form SOME bond with her father. It's going to be interesting to see how that plays out in book two.

Ash was a hard one to figure at first. I couldn't understand his seemingly double personalities. But eventually it makes sense and made me hurt for him. He tried so hard to do the right thing and keep his demons away from Ren and everyone else he cared about. In the long term, though, he was unable to keep things from Ren and unable to keep her out of that part of his life.
