I bought from another source but wanted to review this product more honestly then the obvious sock puppet reviews seen here.

This is from the perspective of owning the original iPad (first gen) for which there are VERY LIMITED choices for keyboard folios. By this I mean a cover that completely protects and encloses the iPad but opens up to provide an attached keyboard. Zagg makes a nice aluminum keyboard CASE for the first-gen iPad but I don't want a case.

Since buying my iPad I have had it in the original iPad case, which I like very much (except no keyboard). I've used it with an Apple Bluetooth keyboard, which is great (and also what I use with my Mac daily). The main problem with that solution is the keyboard isn't attached. Also, the Apple BT keyboard is a bit slow to connect when you do want to use it, and it lacks iPad specific keys.

Interestingly, the added weight of this Beatech product is almost exactly the same as the original iPad case plus the apple BT keyboard.

As for feature review? It's cheap, obviously. At this price it has to be. I think the Amazon price has dropped since I looked at this originally. I got it for a couple bucks less on eBay but if I was buying one now would get it from Amazon.

The design and form is what I wanted. The only issue is the keyboard. It is a rubbery membrane type (as expected). The trouble I have with it is keys repeating or not recording. If I slow down I do pretty well but I can't type fast on it without a lot of typos. Also, the only Shift key is to the left, and my habit is to use the one on the right so that slows me down.

That said, if I want to use it for sending an email of any length it sure beats the onscreen keyboard.

I'm trying to figure out the legitimacy of this product and these reviews.

It is listed at $49.83 here: http://www.amazon.com/KeyFolio-Performance-wireless-Bluetooth-keyboard/dp/B007VGGK78/ref=sr_1_43?ie=UTF8&qid=1338753083&sr=8-43
...and 39.99 here: http://www.amazon.com/Beatech-KPC1-KeyFolio-Performance-Bluetooth/dp/B006JRI61I/ref=pd_sim_sbs_pc_1

Both have the same 16 5-star reviews. None of the reviewers have reviewed any non-Beatech products. Hmmm....

I recently read that CM10 or Jelly Bean was released for the HP Touchpad. Intrigued, I dug my old and neglected, but powerful Touchpad out of the closet and installed it. I was *amazed* by the responsiveness and quality of the display, and it clearly dusted my netbook in terms of speed and resolution. I'm an English major though, and no matter how you slice it, an onscreen keyboard isn't going to meet my needs. So I ordered this, despite the claims of shill reviews, because the price was right and I like the color red. It actually looks pretty feminine in person, but if you think someone who challenges gender ideologies is looked down on in an English department you are mistaken.

Pros:
Well constructed, fits the TP nearly perfectly, the cutouts allow access to all functions.

Keyboard quickly pairs when switched on and is responsive to the touch.

Holds a charge very well.

Cons:
Takes some getting used to, it's a rubbery-type keyboard that registers double-presses if you aren't fast with your release, and the apostrophe is in an odd location.

The adhesive that holds the keyboard to the leather is weak and a corner is coming up on mine, but I'm sure I can just glue it back down if it becomes a problem.

If you forget to switch the keyboard off the battery is guaranteed to be dead the next time you try to use it.

I have an Ipad 1 and this keyboard case works perfectly. Flip the keyboard switch to on and it immediately connects to the Ipad 1. The only think I have a problem with is the keyboard doesn't have a right shift key. Love it.

Bought for my wif'es ipad 1, works great so far, and awesome for the price. Seems to make the ipad more functional though she still drools over my asus with built in slide out keyboard. This was the next best solution in trying to make the fruit more functional.

The case fit my original iPad, so I'm happy with that. It's super bulky, which should be expected since it has a keyboard... The "leather" looks nice, and has been pretty durable so far. The keyboard has spotty connection to the iPad. It will double type letters quite frequently, so you really have to keep an eye out on spelling errors. Also, the charge doesn't last that long, and you have to remember to physically turn off the keyboard so you don't ruin the battery life. It's not worth the hassle, so I've gone back to just typing on the iPad itself.

I love this keyboard/cover for the iPad. I have the first generation of the iPad and the cover its perfect and works perfect. The keyboard is made of rubber so it's not plastic - took a few times of using it to get used to how hard you have to hit the keys but nothing that I was not uncomfortable with. Highly recommend!

It's not the better keyboard cases out there but works well for the price. I bought this for my wife and she uses it every so often. The battery doesn't hold a charge for very long and the keys are kinda soft. I was very limited as to what I could buy because my wife's iPad is a 1st generation tablet. Gave it three stars because it is functional but not that functional to make it work as well as it should.
