Hello everybody!

Last week i read some rumors about the '' 11/14/2009 '', when all the remasters will probably released on VINY 180GR !

Do you think that's true???
How about the possible prices?
Do you think they will released the vinyls on stereo AND mono versions?

I'm REALLY waiting for that !!!!!!!

Cheers from Brazil
RAPHAEL

I don't know, but I can't think of a single thing that I would be quicker to buy, regardless of the price. After hearing the quality of the remasters and suffering the fact that they are on regular PCM audio CDs... I can think of no better complement for the audiophile.

(Well, other than SACD 5.1 remixes, but that is an addition, not a replacement.)

While the Beatles remixed and remastered catalog hits CD on 9/9/09, the same day that Beatles: Rock Band arrives for all the game platforms, the question remains, "What about the return of the Beatles to the burgeoning world of vinyl?" EMI announced this week that music of our lives returns to the audio format that first gave us the Fab Four next March.

There was an article on mojo's website today in which Jeff Jones, the CEO of Apple, confirmed they are working on the remastered vinyl. They're coming.....

G. Jacobs says:
Yeah, and I'll bet they will be available separately and in a nice, overly expensive box set. Oh what the heck, I'll buy it...

Dr. Mikey says:
Of course EMI has changed ownership recently and has been unstable for what, several years? Of course, we have Apple to consider also. If the companies really wanted to put out vinyl, they could do so at the drop of a hat. I mean look at all the stuff being released, including Macca's Ram mono on vinyl. I think it comes down to the companies judging the right time to do vinyl after the 09/09/09 CDs.

Why does this look fishy!

I can't find any information on this ANYWHERE ELSE!

?????

I'm not sure why Acoustic Sounds is the only place that has it. They were the only place that had Pink Floyd's Wish You Were Here on SACD as well. That is a fantastic release, BTW.

T. Marquand says:
I called Acoustic Sounds on Friday, September 21, 2012 to pre-order my Beatles albums on vinyl. They told me that EMI told them to stop taking pre-orders until October 1, 2012. They also told me that pre-orders that were already taken have been put on hold and, if EMI tells them to, those pre-orders may be cancelled. At that time Acoustic Sounds was not sure if the release date of November 13, 2012 would be set back. We'll just have to wait and see what happens on October 1.

I'm still hopeful for a Blu-ray Audio release with the 192/24 audio.

Just pre-ordered the 180g 16LP Limited Edition Box Set coming out Nov 13, 2012. The mono versions will be next, not sure of the date. I'm really surprised Amazon isn't selling this.

@ rucktoon,

You may want to look again. Amazon has "The Beatles Stereo Vinyl Box Set" availible now for pre-order with a release date of November 13. The nice thing about Amazon is their pre-order price guarantee. By the time the item ships the price sometime and usually goes down and to make it better any order over $25 ships free. Where did you pre-order yours from?

ChrisR says:
I see! That's excellent. I should've waited as I much prefer Amazon. Music Direct had it for $349 (I assume the Amazon pre-order price will get there as well - as it also dropped for the Bond bluray set). I was caught up in the moment with this limited edition set and just couldn't wait! ha! When I immediately went to Amazon to order it and they didn't have it or even MENTION it, I did "assume" that perhaps sales were restricted to certain sellers. Wow and I see there was only a few hours after when you replied (thanks, btw). But a few hours is an eternity to a Beatlemaniac, obviously.

I kinda promise to wait next time when the mono vinyl comes out next year.

I always choose free shipping with Amazon (dontcha hate it when your order is 4 cents short of $25 :-), but for a package like this I'd hate to wait the extra week, like I am still waiting for the Bond set which others already received last week (but I don't mind in that case).

Oh, great. Another "limited edition" from EMI, and apparently some people never learn and are still falling for that scam...
