I saw where one reviewer thought that she tried to market her products to frequently in the book-which i hate in this kind of book. I can only recall 2-3 places where she mentioned her supplies -and she mentioned them along with others as well! I purchased 2 other brow books (ebooks which were not very professional either) they devoted the whole book to using their products to shape brows..
My only suggestion would be to offer this book as an ebook and embed videos clips with it!
- I thought I had an oval face - nope it is more of a heart.
- I had no ideas about using brows to balance my features.
- I thought but wasn't sure about my best brow type and have experimented lots with it. Again, intuition confirmed, my face with its shape and dominant features does best with a relatively high arched, rounded, fuller brow.
I definitely recommend this book for any woman not satisfied with her brows and those not familiar with face shapes / balancing features.
In addition to information on how to determine your best brow shape, there's a fun section on how to achieve celebrity brows. Grace Kelly, Sophia Loren, Madonna and Audrey Hepburn are a few of the famous brows shown.
If I was stuck on a desert island with only one beauty item, forget lipstick, it would DEFINITELY be an eyebrow pencil.
Women, take note. SHAPE THOSE BROWS!
Another problem I had with this book is it's surprising lack of pictures. There are only four or so human models used in the book. Their grainy b&w before and after photos are obviously doctored by thick pancake makeup to cover their natural brows and unnaturally dark eyepencil is used to draw them back on. The after effects of their "new" eyebrows aren't even flattering!
If you are looking for a guide for very dramatic eyebrows for a costume or nightclub look, you might appreciate this book, but if you want a guide for natural-looking, beautiful eyebrows that blend with the rest of your face instead of redefining it, you'd best spend your money elsewhere.
