Oh where do I start, I just finished this beautiful book like a few minutes ago and I have to say Melissa has out done herself on this one. I loved everything about it; the characters, the bay, the humor, the love, the hurt, and the drama was everything you need in a romance novel. One thing I noticed was how much Elizabeth and Devyn reminded me a lot of Brooklyn and Jessica from "Kiss the Girl" with a "Strawberry Summer" backdrop. God, it was just heaven reading this. I loved Elizabeth so much and we need more people in the world like her. I love the sex scenes in this one as well, they were very hot and realistic between the two characters. The build up was nice and very needed for the two to come together so drastically as they did. Plus, that epilogue!! I held my chest reading that so my heart wouldn't burst out of it! Beautiful Dreamer is a great escape with donuts, corn-hole tournaments, lighting bugs, and dogs of course! Please do yourself a favor, grab a glass of wine and enjoy this wonderful love story between two great women who deserve each other. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Whoever said you can't go home again was wrong! Not that Devyn wanted to go home after running away from Dreamer's Bay right after high school. She just didn't think she fit in. Elizabeth was just the opposite--she loved her town and never wanted to leave it. Devyn was forced to go back when her sister, Jill, met with an unfortunate accident. Neither Liz nor Devyn were expecting much from their shared efforts in helping Jill but when you meet "your person" life takes on a different meaning. This was such a fun book. I loved the playful flirting and the banter between the two women. My favorite character? Couldn't possibly choose. Each one was totally different and totally lovable. This book will make your heart smile. I loved it and recommend you read it asap. Many thanks to Melissa for another wonderful book!

What can I say about this author! As always, has delivered again. What I love about Brayden's books is the witty, funny, brilliant dialogue, her spunky characters and how she makes an everyday story plot so interesting and engaging. I absolutely love the values her books portray, her writing always maintains a decent, respectfully tone (don't know how else to describe it) that many stories lack nowadays. I enjoy the dual POV, the well edited pages, and the flawless writing. An absolute pleasure to read and get lost in:)

I loved this story so much. Melissa Brayden is one of my favorite authors and she does not disappoint with this book. I've read all her novels and this one is definitely in the top three ranking for me.

I just loved Elizabeth Draper and her quirky personality. The love story that developed between her and Devyn gave me all the feels with the cuteness and the angst, the vulnerability and the heartbreak but most of all, the love. This one will definitely be re-read many times.

Sweet if not totally predictable romance

I love Brayden- you know you’re going to get witty banter; funny moments; well drawn out side characters; and a very sweet sexy romance. This book had all of that without some of the angst that I actually really like in books like Waiting in the Wings & Strawberry Summer. The two leads- Elizabeth & Devyn are the opposites attract pair w/ sizzling chemistry. But it felt a little too predictable to me in some parts & the conflict didn’t feel realistic. Overall I enjoyed the book but i judge my Brayden books for how many times I’ll re-read them as I do with most of them. I won’t be re-reading this one.

Ok, fanboying time.
Beautiful Dreamer by Melissa Brayden is indeed a wonderful story.
If you are a Brayden fan pro (as I proudly think myself to be) this story surely reminds you How Sweet It Is (that I have read 5... no 6 times now) and Strawberry Summer, for the quaint village theme and the lady who comes back and wrecks the heart of the home town sweetheart.
But Dreamer is more lighthearted than Strawberry and it's more intense than How Sweet.
For those who don't know this author: pretty everyone agrees that Melissa Brayden is a genius of humorous banter. She also has the ability to take light situations and render them delightful to read, a master romance writer by definition. She has an enchanting way to draw her characters, so that you can't help but loving them. But she also has shrewd insight for difficult feelings, repressed items that resurface from the past and from deep inside and must be brought back in the open and dealt with to go on with life. In this sense, Beautiful Dreamer is one of the most distinctive of her works, but it is also more definite and rythmical, more sensible, as she is continuously growing more skillful as an author.
Give this book a try, it's funny and sweet and touching and it's really worth it.
