The pictures also look great (I viewed the book through my Kindle Fire HD) and they help express the story excellently. The most important part about this book is that the theme is very positive and uplifting, I think many girls from a wide variety of backgrounds will be able to relate to author J.L. Hunt’s message and take away something positive from the experience. I highly recommend it!!
"Beautiful Boy" and "Beautiful Girl" are two short picture books for young children. They are geared toward different genders, "Beautiful Boy" being meant for boys, and "Beautiful Girl" being meant for girls. But they are both the same in the way that they are supposed to show the reader that they are special in their own way and that they can do great things.
These books are both delightful and encouraging for kids. I would recommend then for ages 2-5. The illustrations are cute, and the poetic rhyme and rhythm are enjoyable for children.
These two books should be compiled into a single volume so that families with both boys and girls will be able to own them both in one book.
I would suggest reading these books to your little children as a bedtime story.

Received a copy from author for an honest review.
Beautiful Boy and Beautiful Girl are two very short picture books for children. Simple, fun, and rhythmic, these books are great as goodnight stories or quick reads for your little ones. Incorporating everything a child enjoys, colors, pictures, and rhyme, it is sure to encourage “itty bitty’s” to look at their world in a positive light.
Many of you know me from my writing and this blog but before I dedicated my time to writing full-time, I worked with children. In fact, to an extent, I still do.
I taught creative writing as part of Louisiana’s In-Home School program for about four years and then I helped to run a research and fellowship center in Shreveport for about five more years teaching and working with children. Having experienced being around kids and working with them, I enjoyed taking the time to stop reading novels for a moment for something simple and found these books a breath of fresh air. I noticed that I smiled through my reading of them both. As someone passionately in love with children, I hope to see more from J.L. Hunt in the future.
Note: I received a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review
I loved how this book empowers little girls. Just a few months ago, I had done a research power on how girls and women view their self and how others view them.
The results of the research paper were just horrifying. As a mom, I love that it just wasn't focused on pretty things and I loved that the book was original and personalized.
