On a softer note, one of the author's fortes is banter and she's made sure her readers get plenty of it. Of course, the heroine always has a lot to say, so how could I have expected less! Ooh, nearly forgot to mention the intimate scenes! If I just said read the book and find out for yourselves or...psst, steaminess abounds!" - Kindle Friends Forever

“I’d felt a connection from the first time we met… whatever was between us had always felt bigger than me—bigger than us.”
From the part meet-cute, part angry confrontation that was their first encounter, the chemistry between the hero and heroine leapt from the page. More than just sexual chemistry, though, there was a genuine connection between Rachel and Caine that felt a whole lot like déjà vu and was more familiar than either could understand. Rachel, a music major graduate student, was also Professor Caine West’s teacher’s assistant, so a romance between the two of them would be an infraction of the school’s fraternization policies. Yet despite that, the two them were almost powerless to fight the growing attraction between them. It was a delicious, goose-bump eliciting build-up, and when they finally gave in to the pull between them, it was explosively passionate and far more intense than either of them had anticipated it would be.
“Maybe I couldn’t get you out of my head because you’re supposed to be there.”
That niggling feeling of familiarity between them, though, was something that never went away, and Keeland delivered an emotionally charged, meaningful and moving storyline there that made Beautiful Mistake a page-turner I had difficulty putting down. With each new revelation, I became more and more invested in these two characters and their happily ever after. Their back-and-forth bantering was on-point and lived up to the “Feisty” nickname Caine gave Rachel. She was a strong heroine, she knew what she wanted, and I loved how she had no problem calling him out when he needed it. Keeland filled out this story with a cast of side characters who added dimension and depth, taking this already deep story and turning it into something special.
“Together. It just works. I felt it the first night we met. Just didn’t want to accept it…”
“Do you accept it now?”
“…I never really had a choice, Feisty.”
This couple fought through some heavy history to get their happily ever after, and I was positively enthralled with their journey, devouring this story with heart-racing anticipation from cover-to-cover. Five smooches from me for Beautiful Mistake by Vi Keeland!
~ Danielle Palumbo
From the first encounter between Rachel and Caine I knew that that the chemistry they'd share would be more than either of them could resist. Rachel mistakenly thinks Caine is someone else and gives him a piece of her mind. Little does she expect to every cross paths with him again. After the initial encounter, the following day when she shows up to class, Rachel is astonished to find out that she will be Professor West's TA. Professor West has a reputation for not being the nicest person ever. She is up for the challenge to be able to prove him wrong and survive his class. As feisty as Rachel is, will she be able to put him in place?
Rachel and Caine have an instant connection and the chemistry between them is intolerable. Both of them have a past that constantly haunts them. Under all that cockiness, Caine was attentive, thoughtful, and compassionate. He's too hard on himself and carries an abundance of guilt. I loved how Rachel was feisty and wasn't afraid of Professor West.
Beautiful Mistake was so well written. Even before the reveal of the plot twist, my suspensions I loved that it brought out every emotion possible. Vi Keeland knows how to deliver characters that are hard to resist. I guarantee that you will, without a doubt fall in love with Professor West. I look forward to reading more from Vi.
I just love when I read a book and it is just something totally different to what I was expecting in the best kind of way. Vi is one of my favorite authors so I always know reading her books is always going to be a wonderful experience but she always surprises me taking me to the unexpected. I always go in thinking the hero is this way and and finishing the book with a total turn of events. And Professor Caine West was just one beautiful surprise after another. I loved peeling the layers and getting to know this amazing man with all the qualities I love in a hero.
Rachel and Caine meet in a case of mistaken identity but in that meeting I could already feel all the chemistry I needed to just turn those pages at fast speed to find out what was going to happen next. And oh my God, my heart melted, I swooned, I laughed, I cried, I just love, love, love the experience of what is reading a book by Vi Keeland.
