The Beauty of Grace by Nicole Richards is the first book in the She’s Beautiful series. It is the first book I've read from this author and it won't be the last. From the first line to the last, Ms. Richards words were captivating and absolutely beautiful. This book takes you on an incredible journey of two people struggling to get past their pasts and find love again.
Grace is a twenty-three year old single mother. Coming from a wealthy family, her father made her choose between her child and her parents because they didn't approve of her relationship. With choosing her unborn child, she was forced to grow up quickly but didn't regret a single thing. The love for her son was consuming. She struggled but when Grace’s aunt offered to let her stay at her home, she accepted. While shopping, she meets AJ Watson and everything changes. This man may be everything she's been hoping for…
Alexander, aka AJ, has been on a downward spiral ever since a tragedy happened. He’s had his heart broken so he is hesitant in starting any type of relationship. When he meets Grace,he realizes she just might be the one to break down his walls. But when his past comes back to haunt him, will he lose the one thing that has made him a better man?
There are no words to adequately express all the emotions I felt while reading this book. The friendships, the love-you felt each emotion right along with the characters. Nicole Richards did a fabulous job and I am looking forward to reading the next in the series!
Grace is a young single mother to an adorable five-year-old boy named Drew. She has been struggling and on her own since she got pregnant with Drew when she was eighteen years old and her father kicked her out for not having an abortion. Grace decides she needs a fresh start and moves to Savannah to live with Aunt Jackie who happens to be her father’s sister and thankfully nothing like him. While shopping for cake stuff for Drew’s birthday Grace meets Alex/AJ who is sweet from the beginning with Drew.
AJ is a young single guy who has dealt with a rough couple of years and is starting to get back on track after a couple of life changing events and some bad decisions with women. AJ sees Drew and Grace at the grocery store and he is drawn to them both though I don’t think he realized it at the time.
This story has it all, the humor, tragedy, twists and turns and some well written characters. I love AJ and his brother RJ, but would there was something about RJ’s best friend Tyler that stood out to me. He was only briefly mentioned but I want to see more of him. I’m already reading the next book in the series and hope there are will be more.
Grace is a strong woman, and everything I love in my Heroine's. Despite all the stuff life has thrown at her, she remains grounded, determined to make the best out of everything for her and her son.
AJ has his own issues he is struggling to come to terms with, but all of his flaws just make him all the more real. He was a great Hero and the way he was with Grace and Drew is just completely swoon worthy. There is one line of his in which he is describing Grace that I absolutely loved.
"She was the type of woman who looked for the silver lining in each and every storm cloud, her beauty, the light in her heart shined every time she looked at me."
Overall this was a sweet, feel good read that will have you closing the book with a smile on your face.
This book was filled with emotion , I cried times for Grace and for AJ. This book had all the makings of a great story and it succeeded . I couldn't put it down
The characters were well-written and the plot was good. This is a definite good start to the series!
