I was very pleased with a lot of the Clear skin and hair products. They work as advertised and feel much more pure and less chemical-like.
The luster, the strength, and the feel are all qualities that are valued in hair. For most who wish to support these qualities daily conditioning is an necessary routine to ensure their hair stands up (or should I say stays down?) against the trails of the day. Not all conditioners are created equal, but from an individual with big hair, conditioner is a major part of my day. But what things do we look for in a conditioner? Personally, look for three key sets of traits to ensure my both my hair and my heart are satisfied: price and bottle shape, smell and texture, and of course overall feel and longevity of the product. Using this sophisticated criteria, one brand of the many I have tried stands out, the brand "Clear".
Clear was not a brand I had myself considered while shopping. Coming in a thin slim pink bottle, the only redeeming quality appeared to be its half off sale tag. My usual purchases ranging from TRESemme', Pantene, and Suave the chance purchase of this conditioner could only be described by the brands selection name "Frizz Control"; desperate times called for desperate measures. Its bottle was off-putting and the limited quantity, emphasized by its delicate shape was not consoling considering the six bucks it occasionally runs. Compared to my normal purchases, ranging from two to five dollars with Suave at the lower and TRESemme' at the upper ends of the spectrum, the discount was one of the only encouraging reasons I found to buy this product. It's meager twelve point seven ounces about seventy five percent less than Suave's robust twenty eight ounces meant that I would be getting less out of Clear and without the discount for more money.Read more ›
Given how this bottle opens and how slippery it is, it's a real challenge to get any product out of the thing. It's amusing to be wrestling with a plastic bottle while you're bathing. It's a challenge, and it's kind of fun if you're in the right mood. Otherwise it would be a pain in the rear end.
I was skeptical before trying the Clear Scalp and Hair Beauty Therapy Frizz Control conditioner. I only wash my hair 3 times a week because of the tedious drying and flat-ironing process. So, I can't use anything that is really going to cause build-up. At first I felt like the product dispensed too slowly. Then I realized I really didn't have to squeeze the bottle too much and the perfect amount came out with no waste. There are a lot of bottle designs out there that cause the product to come out in a gloppy mess with a lot of waste.
There might be a little more effort required than of other conditioners to distribute. The product clung nicely to my hair strands (I hate when a conditioner just drips right off after applying). Clear Scalp has a mild fragrance. I like that. With all the products one uses on a daily basis, you don't want your shampoo and conditioner competing with the lotions, deodorants and colognes.
The frizz control is really the most important factor for me. This product really came through for me. It seemed to coat my hair strands with a sealer of some sort without it feeling like it was coated. In combination with the Clear Scalp Beauty Nourishing Shampoo, I did not need any extra anti-frizz serum.Read more ›
