3.0 out of 5 stars Does NOT seem to be a Beutyrest product
By Lyra on August 31, 2017
*UPDATE: I've now had this on my bed for a while and it seems to be doing what it says, so I've given it another star. It's UNDER my mattress as instructed, I think it would be way to soft to offer any support if on top- and it's not marketed as a topper, but under it supports the weight of the mattress well. I do still think there is some dipping in the middle, as it is foam, so you're loosing a sturdy support, which could cause some back pain, but for the purpose of raising the head of the bed, it works well. I didn't want to put risers under my bed, as that tips the whole bed forward, and away from the wall, although this option would likely provide the sturdier support in the center of the mattress... give/take.

Original review: This is NOT a Beautyrest product, or at least it does not seem to be. I would expect Beautyrest packaging to be more professional. The item arrives rolled and compressed, and takes some time to expand. This is expected and is not an issue... what is an issue is that it arrived packaged in only in saran wrap- like the kind from your kitchen... stuck to the outside of the Saran Wrap is a "Beautyrest" sticker, but it looks to be something someone printed on a home laser printer- the black ink was wearing off on the saran wrap- see photo. Also stuck to the outside of the shrink wrap is the "do not remove tag" that's required by law here in the aUS. Hmmmm- does it count if it's stuck to the Saran Wrap?? Once you unwrap it there is a paper label inside stating it is a product from "Hollander sleep products". This paper states it is a topper, the Amazon posting states it is to go under your mattress- which is what I wanted. This may all be OK- I haven't yet put it on the bed as it needs time to return to its original shape, so I'll update once I do so. My concern so far is with the faulty/misleading advertising of the listing. I'm also concerned that it was VERY light, I have a memory foam topper on my mattress now and it is pretty heavy. I'm not sure how this will hold the weight of a mattress without compressing to almost flat- but again- will update once in use.
Guys- listen- Just be straightforward with us! If you're printing your own beauty rest labels at home- it's probably not a beauty rest product and were probably going to find out when we get it...
2 stars for misleading posting- if it works great once it's in use I will update.
Oh yeah- also smells a little like jelly beans or jolly ranchers on unpacking- hoping the smell will
dissipate.
