This is an interesting book about traumatic Brain injury (TBI) written by someone who has suffered a TBI herself.
The author is a good story teller; the first part of the book reads like an interesting novel. The way the story is presented I found that I care a lot about what happens to her. I was really happy to read that she has been making good progress in socialization. I hope that she is able to go on and find a life purpose that is meaningful and at which she can be successful.

Because It Didn't Kill Me Paperback – May 10, 2015
by
Christine Hermann
(Author)
This is the author's initial, self published version. One sunny December afternoon while eagerly awaiting her 13th birthday, and all that is entailed in this next stage of her life, the author experiences a near fatal accident, so traumatic, it should have killed her. Relying on her faith in God, she struggles to overcome the many obstacles and setbacks that accompany a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Rising above this adversity, the author moves beyond it to embrace the life she was meant to live.

Many books are written in first person but this book was like they were talking to me like they were in the room-like a friend would share with me and not a stranger. It would be easier to share with others if it was a documentary.

Very interesting and inspiring story about the author. Her setbacks and her fight to have a normal life after her traumatic brain injury. I enjoyed this read very much.

A very inspiring story. As a TBI survivor myself. I can relate. A great read. Her positivity is contagious. Her strength in herself and God is amazing.

A must read for everyone...It will inspire you to stop making excuses and get busy doing all the things you should, all the things you think are not possible, and to stop telling yourself there are too many roadblocks to what you want. Christine jumped over her hurdles in life with such bravery.
