Product Description

TurfMark Blue dye indicator concentrate. Add a small amount to any insecticide concentrate and see exactly where you've sprayed. Turf Mark Blue is mixed at a rate of 1/2 - 1 oz. of concentrate per 1 to 3 gallons of liquid insecticide. TurfMark is mainly used for pre-construction termite treatments to mark where the termite spray was applied, such as on wood studs or foundational wood or concrete. When applied to turf, the product disappears within 24-48 hours. Do not use for general pest control treatments around a home as the product will stain and can be difficult to remove.

I took pictures to show others the front and back labels, directions, and the ounce markings on the side and top of dispenser.

This is 32 ounces (quart) size from Solutions Pest & Lawn.

Hopefully this helps others ... Because ... This is knowledge I wanted to know before I purchased it.

I was finally able to get this for my tank sprayer. After cutting my grass and trimming the hedges and trees it was time to spray for weeds. Got my tank sprayer, add my water, tablespoon of dish soap, extended control weed killer and Turf Mark. After I finished spraying, my yard looked like a professional sprayed. Here are some pics.

I recommend it for spraying weeds and ants outside, although I don't know that I would trust it to fade if sprayed indoors even though its stated that its safe for that.

I read the reviews prior to mixing it the first time and mixed it 1/2oz per 1gal. It was blue, although going from direct sunlight to shade (NM has over 300 cloudless days) it was difficult to tell if I'd sprayed in the shade. Going from shade to sunlight did not cause me to have the same confusion.
I went back the next day to finish spraying, and I could tell what I needed to spray still, which was great. All of the blue disappeared eventually, some surfaces took closer to 2 weeks instead of 48 hours.
I did mix it once at the 1oz per 1gal and that is very, very blue. It was easy to tell where was sprayed going from direct sunlight to shade and in reverse. At this strength I accidentally misted my shoes (wind shift) which caused faint blue speckles. The speckles have remained for over 2 weeks and don't appear to be fading. As a note, there is a warning that this can possibly stain, and my shoes (Wolverine tan boots with leather upper and manmade sole) definitely resemble that.

It is a great thing to see where you have already sprayed when you are wondering around a couple of acres. Helps eliminate over spraying and reminds you where you might have missed.

I did not need to use nearly what the recommended amount is on the bottle. An ounce per gallon worked great in a sandy area where I was spraying pucture vine.

The Turf Mark dye is great for knowing where you have sprayed especially when doing spot weed control. And how much product you have applied - a touch for sensitive weeds, more of a soaking for tough weeds. The blue color fades after a couple of days so aren't painting your yard blue. The mix rate is 1 oz per gallon for hand sprayers but I found that after the initial 1 oz/gal I now use 1/2 oz/gal.

I used this for the first time today, spraying weeds in my outdoor riding arena and in the gravel driveway. I used about 10 cc in 3 gallons of spray, and the color showed up enough for me to tell where I'd sprayed. The directions say 6-10 ounces per 100 gallons, so I figured 1 oz/10 gals = 1/3 ounce for 3 gallons. At about 30 cc per ounce, that came to about 10 cc. I used an old syringe (farm stores have them) to measure. I think this product will be fine for doing the spot-spraying for weeds on gravel and sand, but I'm not sure how well the color would show up on a lawn. I also noticed that it did stain the concrete floor in my garage (I dripped a little...), but others have said it washes off driveways in a few days. I wouldn't spray on nice concrete without testing it first. I dribbled water on the spots and left it for a couple hours. The stain is more pale but still visible. (Oh well. That stain is nothing compared to the oil stains from the truck!) For my purposes, it will work fine. If I want a deeper color, I'll add more dye. I don't go through enough spray in a summer for volume to be a concern.

I mix with Roundup when I have to spot spray for thistles on an open sagebrush hillside. It all looks the same out here, so the marking color is essential so I don't spray the same thing 3 or 4 times. I've also used purple (different brand). I think the intense blue is much easier to see. But for my purposes, I can't even tell what I've sprayed one day later. So it's great for same-day distinction but fades fast.

I've gotten it everywhere! It washes out or fades. Not to worry.

This is not for painting and changing the color of the landscape, but it adds a nice blue tint to the plants that have been sprayed. VERY helpful when you are going after a noxious weed, and not wanting to kill everything on your property just to be sure you killed one kind of plant that is overtaking your county.
